I'm not really sure that I want this scenario to play out. I think Hill might be more difficult to beat than JFK.

What I fear is that the Dems will drop Kerry and go with Edwards.

Nothing would electrify the Republican base more than another Clinton running for the Presidency.

I think she would also turn off a lot of the more "moderate" Democrats, especially the older ones who would never vote for a woman for President.

Ummmm, no. The media won't dwell on it. The Republicans won't pursue it and in two weeks it will be old news. Just like all the other potential scandals we've seen over the last 12 or more years. It there's a Democrat involved there will be no lasting problems (unless you speak out against the Clintons on the floor of the House - see Traficant, Jim).

Well, Kerry says that he just learned of the criminal investigation into his national security advisor yesterday (although it's been going on for 7 months). Nothing to see here, more along. (sarcasm)

no, she's better off until 08... no point in taking a chance against an incumbent .... of course, it sure would be nice to see her name all over those papers that sandyburglar stole

The Clintons have delivered the first punch designed to make John F*ckin' damaged goods by November. I love how they do it. They're showing him who the real pros are. And you betcha there's more to come... stay tuned.

Guess what? The lady on Fox News just said that this is exactly what was in some of the papers that Berger stole

The predicate of all this is to seriously believe that the story has legs and that justice will find Sandy Berger.

That's just not a very mature belief.

This is a conspiracy theory worthy of Dick Morris.

Face it: Hillary isn't going to run. She is not going to be a candidate.

Let's see...bad Republicans leak info on Berger (VRWC-type blame). Info looks bad for Kerry. Maybe.

Here's what's amazing: I've been away from FR for 48 hours and everybody is talking about this like everybody else knows all the details. This place is amazingly fast.

I don't think Hillary is ready just yet. I think 08 is still her plan. And it depends on just what ole Sandy is willing to tell DOJ. Will Sandy be another Web Hubble?

"I think Hill might be more difficult to beat than JFK"

lets see here...bill clinton got low 40's votewise BOTH times, the rest split by bush/perot. 8 years of continuous scandals, including turning a blind eye to terrorism.
bottom line: the american people do not want the clintons back in office.

I dont think Hitlery could take the nomination and win. A lot of democrats think Kerry was picked for them, picking someone else would push a lot of them away from the polls or to Nader.
