When Bill Clinton apologizes for getting us in this mess and handing it over to President Bush then I'll agree. Are you arguing that the Bush administration should live down to the standards of the Klintoon administration?
Get over yourself. The Bush administration is already giving over to Hillary Clinton and her media *ss kissers. President Bush seems to give them the benefit of the doubt every time they attack him. We all know who is responsible for 9/11 and no one wants to POINT THE FINGER AT THE CLINTONS! I don't really give a damn about POINTING MY FINGER AT THEM! We have a sham of a 9/11 Commission with ONE OF THE PROBLEMS ON IT and now this.
All those words and no answer to my question.

If we have taken the 19 monsters that did such a deed, or bin Laden their leader, we would have the right to strip them naked, and cut them apart inch by inch, and I would be with you saying screw the world opinion and the justice system.I can't agree with you there. As angry as we would be if we had the 'magnificent 19' in custody, the US has to take the high road even with the lowest life. We would try them publicly, then execute them but like men, not by torture. Thoughts like that are what got some troops into this mess we're in now.

Should we be doing more of what was shown in those pictures? If sexual humiliation is what it takes to break these b@stards, then I'm all for it.
Is there any evidence that either the intent or the effect was to break them?
To: M. Thatcher
Since when has that stopped them?? I'm not saying they will stop .. what I am saying is the public will get sick of it
And the last few elections have been a little hint

If there were EVER a clear, begging need for an on-your-knees apology, it was for Waco. I'm still waiting for that one.

You should really "take a deep breath and calm down"...
I care about it because this incident will probably prompt a few salamikaze fence-sitters to try their hand at killing Americans. All it takes is a few stupid f*cks to make a real mess. Sounds like we've discovered a few stupid f*cks in the MPs.

"Ohhhhh, Lynndie......"
Off-topic I wanted to reach through the radio yesterday and slap Hannity across the chops as he was trying to make excuses for these people.
Somehow he seems to have missed the point that this stuff has made our position in Iraq much more difficult, and it is likely that American soldiers will die as a result of the publicity that has followed.

LOL, I think I know that idiot! Is he that short black guy?
To: kcvl
Aides do say that he is going to apologize. That's fine. That's what he should do... One blanket apology for the appalling behavior of our soldiers...

Sorry for confusion, I'm not condoning these soldiers actions by any means. They should be dealt with and will be. I was generalizing the war effort itself as getting to political.

I agree with you 100%. There need to be criminal proceedings, as well. All I'm saying is, once it becomes a quid pro quo, we lose whatever moral edge we have over the Democrats.
It's never wrong to suffer for being right. We have to maintain the high road...

The Guardian?
Better deal with known facts and not gullibly lap up stories without verification.
A review of my posts show I am no defender of the pictures we have seen, but there is no denying there is a lib attempt to pile on and embellish the treatment of these prisoners.
To: David in Atlanta
Perhaps being sodomized with a broom handle is something you enjoy? Are you serious? I would call that torture.Case in point: Perhaps you're not aware--I'm positive you're not--that the "prisoner" peddling the broom handle story has an attorney who is the friend and mentor of that lawyer arrested in Portland yesterday as being tied to the Madrid bombings.
You seem a little over eager to accept and peddle the most lurid of stories instead of sticking to documention that can be verified.

I was thinking the same thing...

You seem a little over eager to accept and peddle the most lurid of stories instead of sticking to documention that can be verified. I don't know whether or not the "broom handle story" is actually true. With that caveat, based on the pictures that have been released, I would not be at all surprised to find out that it is true.

I don't know if you've checked out some of the early morning so called news...but some of the people in the pics have already had background checks done. One is reported to have a criminal type of background. We have no idea if he was convicted or not. But, if it's true..I'm surprised that he's able to serve at all.
I agree with some of the others...if rumsfield apologizes under all that heat..I can't imagine him not coming out of it shining.
