If Sadaams WMDs are ever used against us or our allies the 'rats chorus of "Iraq was a mistake" will change overnight to "Why did he wait so long?".

Thanks!
This is a great article to whack those who say GW started the war in Iraq too soon.
We will find out that the WMDs made their way to Syria. As soon as the last truck load was in Syria, the $oddomite and his buddies notified the key left wingers of the world that there were no WMDS in Iraq.
Immediately the left wing lunatics in politics and in charge of leftist media outlets started the "No WMDS in Iraq!"
The only way they could have know there were no WMDs in Iraq, was that they were informed by their Buddy the $oddomite, that all WMDs were out of Iraq.
The screams of no WMDs in Iraq has been a coordinated enterprise between the Islamofascists and their left wing buddies in politics and control of the media around the world.

Well done.
However, you missed a very key point: The U.S. is not united. We are split right down the middle. If the next election goes to John Kerry the war on terror will be lost.
President Bush does not have the freedom to act that this article presupposes.

Great points Grampa Dave....... Also, I have yet to hear any talking head ask the question, "With it all but being a certainty that the UN is dirty in the Oil for Food scandal, what about the UN weapons inspection program in Iraq?" Come to think about it, has any political leader asked the question?

"We are in command. We must act."
Exactly. We can't expect honest analysis anyway. Whatever we do, there is twisting of truth and vial attacks. There is no good feedback. Negative feedback can be good also, if honest. But it is drowned in the shrill screams of the political hacks. Michael Moore is reported without the label "extreme Left" as a respected mainstream figure.
But what matters is voter reaction. It was indeed positive when Bush took decisive actions. Only when he looses his clarity and starts wobbling the polls start go down (at least it is my perception).

April 20 At least three senior United Nations officials are suspected of taking multi-million dollar bribes from the Saddam Hussein regime, U.S. and European intelligence sources tell ABCNEWS.
One year after his fall, U.S. officials say they have evidence, some in cash, that Saddam diverted to his personal bank accounts approximately $5 billion from the United Nations Oil-for-Food program.
In what has been described as the largest humanitarian aid effort ever undertaken, the U.N. Oil-for-Food program began in 1996 to help Iraqis who were suffering under sanctions imposed following the first Gulf War.
The program allowed Iraq to sell limited amounts of oil, under supposedly tight U.N. supervision, to finance the purchase of much-needed humanitarian goods.
Most prominent among those accused in the scandal is Benon Sevan, the Cyprus-born U.N. undersecretary general who ran the program for six years.
In an interview with ABCNEWS last year, Sevan denied any wrongdoing.
"Well, I can tell you there have been no allegations about me," he said. "Maybe you can try to dig it out." And in a Feb. 10 statement, Sevan challenged those making the allegations to "come forward and provide the necessary documentary evidence" and present it to U.N. investigators.
But documents have surfaced in Baghdad, in the files of the former Iraqi Oil Ministry, allegedly linking Sevan to a pay-off scheme in which some 270 prominent foreign officials received the right to trade in Iraqi oil at cut-rate prices.
"It's almost like having coupons of bonds or shares. You can sell those coupons to other people who are normal oil traders," said Claude Hankes-Drielsma, a British adviser to the Iraq Governing Council.
Investigators say the smoking gun is a letter to former Iraqi oil minister Amer Mohammed Rasheed, obtained by ABCNEWS and not yet in the hands of the United Nations.

If the next election goes to John Kerry the war on terror will be lost.
That's a very strong statement, but what does it mean? Do you think if Kerry wins, bomb-belted suicidals will roam American streets as we cower in the basement under a rain of falling airliners?

Do you think if Kerry wins, bomb-belted suicidals will roam American streets as we cower in the basement under a rain of falling airliners? Of course not. That's an absurd and simplistic statement, most likely intended as an insult.
The United States is the only nation with both the power and the will to stand up to the Islamists. However, Kerry is weak, and perceived as such by the Islamists. That weakness will lead to both a stronger enemy and a weaker U.S.
It would not happen instantly, but the end result would be disastrous.

You realize that Democrats were in power during WWI and WWII, don't you? Cassandra aside, 'losing' the war on terror is as amorphous a concept as winning it.

You realize that Democrats were in power during WWI and WWII, don't you? You realize that Democrats in WWI and WWII were completely different than the Dems of today, don't you?
Harry Truman would throw up at John Kerry.

As far as "losing" the war on terror is concerned, it is not an amorphous concept at all. Unless you do not mind being forced to convert to Islam and living under Sharia law.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
