The U.S. death toll is important, sad, and should be a national headline. But the Jordanian terror bust should be even more so, since that is what we are fighting to combat in the first place. And nobody wants to touch the story with a 10-foot pole, because it could potentially force the other side to send up a white flag of their own.

That's because the attack was stopped.
When the al-Qaeda guy was caught slipping into the US from Canada prior to 12/31/2000 in order to blow up Los Angeles, that changed nothing. It takes a catastrophe to get people's attention.

They don't want to touch this story, because they're too busy calling Bush a liar. This proves them all wrong.

FWIW, Fox News has been giving this story exposure today (Sunday). Whether that continues into the week, time will tell.

Al Qaeda is going to use any means necessary to attack their enemies. Truck bombs, chemicals, poison, and probably nuclear if they can work with the rogue elements in Pakistan.

Before they will print/show it - the building must be burning, the victim must be covered in blood - the flood must be at least covering three steps - the wreck must be awful - the people must be weeping - or if you're Martha Stewart or John Kerry you must make arrogant remarks or look arrogant just having WMD on you person doesnt warrant a story or pictue....................

" One can only ask
why havent we heard about this on the news? " On the other hand, it could be because the sole source is News Max. The organization that ran a half dozen features predicting a surprise Russian nuclear attack on the US in 1998.

Why hasn't the administration had more to say on this issue? All they would need to say is that they're "gravely troubled", and the press would start to take more notice. I know the press is biased, but it's not just them here.

In commentary (editorial, talking head) someone on FOX speculated that there may have been a connection between Syria & Iraq's missing WMD. It was responsible way to report it. Unless or until there is *proof* of a connection, it's not *news*.
I wonder how the alphabets will report it, if proof is found. Bet it's something along the lines of Bush "sexing up" the evidence to get votes.
To: djjava
I just checked the news websites of ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN and could not find mention of it anywhere. I bet if we found 50 tons of Vx buried in Iraq the media would have a meeting to decide how best to downplay it. What a bunch of weasles!
