Hey, JimRo this is one question I asked my self all this time. Why are so many long time FR members migrating to LP.
What's going on?...what are you guys doing? Granted sometimes some of the members are a little uptight with their opinnions, but that is no reason to ban them for life after so many years of faithfull membership.

I have noticed that a host of some very long standing members of FR, now are very much in their realm, posting happily with no restrictions on "LP".

...and you know what the irony is...they are posting with the same "handle" as FR. Forget about the "Loony Toons" types, what about the "good" ones?.

I do not want to sound patronizing to you, but a general assesment and overhaul is overdue based on the facts on hand.

A general realignment of membership/posting censorship's guide lines should be observed.

Granted, it is your web site, conservative, and more. Are you a business man?

JimBo I do think that at this point you are at a turning point like it or not. What ever your decision, the faith of "FR" is in your judgement.

Howdy.

Were you aware that advertising is generally frowned on when it appears on your profile page?

I count about 25 "long time freepers" on that site. How many do you count?

Hey, most of them have complained mightily about the way we run this joint. Some say it's too extreme, others say it's too Republican, others say we delete too much, others say we don't delete enough. Some say there should be no-holds-barred, others get upset if they're flamed or cussed at. Well, I came to the conclusion a while back that I can't please everyone, so I please myself. And I've often said that if you don't like the way the place is managed, there's nothing stopping you from going out and starting one of your own. They did. Several did. There have been dozens of start ups spun off FR. Some are better than others, some are successful and some fall by the wayside. But they all, each in their own peculiar way, share the particular quirks and traits of their founders. And that's the way it should be. It's a big world out there on the Internet. Something for everyone.

, now are very much in their realm, posting happily with no restrictions on "LP".

Some people clearly prefer a "no restrictions" kind of site. Not me -- without exception I find the "total freedom" forums on the net to be overrun with yahoos (not to be confused with "Yahoo!"). It only takes a few immature twits with foul manners and/or empty heads and/or emotional problems to send the signal-to-noise ratio down into the cellar.

Three cheers for responsible moderation.
