[history]
Dear Free Republic Friends,
My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.
So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):
I have poisoned the well.
By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.
By my intellectual ineptitude.
By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.
By my biting every hand that fed me.
By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.
By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.
Evidenced by:
One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.
By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.
BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.
Conclusion:
It is a sad day.
For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.
So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?
I can hardly wait.
Is it the 18th yet? Tick, tock.

The great chasm is between nasty and angry posters on one side and polite and forgiving posters on the other side.
There are Christians on both sides of the evolution/creation debate, and there are people of good will on both sides also.
This artificial characterization of evolutionists=atheists and creationists=Christians is a cheap debating technique used by these posters who cannot abide by the forum rules.

Well said..
And the remedy is evident.
Impartially enforce the 'forum rules', and put these threads in the Religion forum.

TELL ME., WHAT HAS ALL THIS JR. HIGH ARGUING HAVE TO DO WITH BADJOE???? LOL!
Some posters want to be "martirs" because they can't obey the rules

I have yet to meet a proponent of Intelligent Design on Free Republic who believes that ANY species evolved from any other. I recognize that possibility (or certainty, actually, depending on how you're using the word "species")
OTOH, I also recognize the certainty that God exists -- a point some won't concede. I also insist on noting that common descent is not a certainty. And using random chance to explain biodiverstiy is, you have to admit, pretty silly.

JimRob, I have asked you to act fairly. That is all. To that, you said "fair is for democrats." As for the letter you received in your email, his name was defamed. You haven't yet removed the offending post. Free Republic was recently defamed by the city of Fresno. What are you doing about that? Same thing, right?
Please, just remove the post. It is full of false information and unsubstantiated allegations. Is that what you want representing this forum?

Some posters want to be "martirs" because they can't obey the rules What, they can't find their way to the proper thread for Jr. High discussions.

Yeah. I got flamed out of that place for suggesting that NASCAR drivers turn RIGHT every once in a while ;) lol Most drivers are Republicans! I never got into too much flaming there. It was as much a dating site as a Nascar site it seemed. That's one of the main differences between that site and here as far as ediquette (sp?) goes (of course the content is much different...:^)...), we would blatantly flirt with each other right in the middle of conversations about racing. That was kinda fun. Probably not good for that to go on here too much though, the subject matter is a little more serious. lol
As for my thoughts on creation and God, I dispute that anyone, even myself, even has enough gray matter to truly understand ALL of God's handiwork and mysteries.
Very true.
The best I can do is enjoy it.
True. I enjoy by discovering what I can. I probably need to spend more time doing that.

Are you one of the coconspirators? Are you working in concert to cause harm and damage to this company? Are you going to be called in on one side or the other of this monumental earthshaking lawsuit, the mother of all libel and damage suits? Is that what this is all about?

What do you want? Fair? A level playing field? A leg up? How about your every wish is my command? Will that be enough for you? Sheesh, all I did was ask you guys to play nicely and quit fighting. Suddenly, I'm the killer tomato that ate Cleveland.

And using random chance to explain biodiversity is, you have to admit, pretty silly. Not exactly random.
I keep bees, and grow plants that bees like, and butterflies like. The smaller flowers are good for honeybees, but the larger flowers are not, because their tongues aren't long enough.
On the other hand, there are a lot of bees other than honeybees that have tongues long enough to get the nectar out of the larger flowers, e.g., many species of bumblebees are larger than honeybees, and have longer tongues.
I haven't studied this in any detail, but if I did, one of the things I'd be looking at is whether the larger flowers are native to the Americas, because honeybees are native to Europe, Africa, and western Asia, not native to the Americas.
But I do know for a fact that after Europeans introduced honeybees to North America, native plants which can be pollinated by honeybees became more common.
Now, you may call this process "random" but I don't. I don't think God was actively involved in pushing it along, either. Something changed in the environment (Europeans introduced honeybees) and that caused something else to change in the environment (the proportion of grasses changed, and more grasses that were pollinated by honeybees became prevalent). The changes are gradual, but they're real.

Jim, you're arguing with bungholes whose idea of fun is ripping apart something someone else created. They can neither create nor manage anything comparable so they become vandals. Don't waste your time.

Several of us have risked banning to stand up and tell what has been going on. Do I want to be banned from this forum? No. But is it worth it to me to just step in line and pretend like some really bad things aren't going on here? It's not. Curious... What exactly compels you to debate earth origins with people you despise?
You could get a different hobby that brings you more joy.... Just my two cents...

For what it's worth, I would suggest moving this thread to the Smokey Back Room or the religious forum. It is no longer about BadJoe, but instead has apparently deteriorated into an incessant, bitter argument.
I'm not totally sure, since I quit reading when all this arguing started about 1000 posts ago. :-)
To: gore3000
Looks cut and dried, plain as day, and self-evident to me. In fact, nothing could be plainer or more obvious. Yours is a preplanned, premeditated, orchestrated malicious attack. Not a very Christian thing to do at all.
