I don't want to argue about which horse is higher, I argue that there is room for both science and religion in anyones life. Understanding one, does not make the other impossible.

That's all I was stating.

And as long as their belief is based on the fact that science is out to disprove their religion, then it will never be solved, because science is something that they are terrified of.

Anyone that claims that evolution is not science, and then also claims that science somehow disproves evolution, is a holy warrior

Evolution is not science because it has been completely disproved by science as I showed in my articles on Nobel Prize Design in DNA which you all had an opportunity to refute and could not.

So again Aric, you continue with the Holy Warrior insult which seems to be the only thing you can post on these threads. We know that you do not care about facts, we know you know nothing about science, we know that you know nothing but insult, so you have absolutely no need of continuously reminding us of it.

BTW - your spreading around of private e-mails to destroy someone shows quite well your lack of character. The evolutionist's commending you for it, show quite well their complete lack of character. Character does matter and you folks have none - and that is the reason for the problems on these threads, not me, not ALS, not any Christian. The problems on these threads go way back before ALS and before me (and that is over two years). The problem is due to the utter and complete dishonesty of the evolutionists and to the utter and complete falsity of their position. This leaves them only with insults and Christian bashing as a resort to the truth.

It would be interesting to allow the thread originator to moderate the thread (with the admins available to override). I have see lots of thread get off track. The original poster has an interest in keeping the discussion on track. If the privilege is abused, the admins could step in.

That is one of the most astoundingly ignorant posts I have ever had the dubious pleasure of laying my eyes upon, sir.

You are to be commended.

All I can do is laugh at that entire post.

It is beyond logic, it is beyond pretending, it is beyond anything that I could even name.

You actually believe this stuff, and I am stunned, literally stunned.

There is nothing more to say.

I guess from now on I will have to take your posts as humor, because that is all they are really worth, a really good laugh.

You're not getting it, so go ahead on, for as long as you last.

What's this supposed to mean? It sounds like a threat. Are you guys brewin' somethin' up? Are the wolves howlin'?

Sometimes the truth hurts. Doesn't it?

Here I am, still posting this stuff on this thread.

I will take my own advice.

Science cannot even begin to explain something so basic to human nature as why a child loves its mother, much less something as complex as the love between a creature and its Creator.

How in the world did this thread become an Evolution vs, Creation thread?

God, next thing you know, Grandpa dave will show up and start the Civil War again! And then the WOD folk will come, then the Hobbit Hole posters will come and the thread will be complete!

Thank you so much for your reply and for your concern!

Indeed, I immediately recognized the challenge as bait in response to Gore3000's reply to my post at 1145. David Koresh made the statement in question. But the bait was not addressed to me and several of the DU posters have been offended by unsolicited replies. Therefore I waited until someone not among the usual DU posters answered; that is why I responded to you and not earlier.

The implication of the bait is that since David Koresh had instant recall of Scripture it is reasonable that others would question the Spirit within me which brings Scriptures to mind instantaneously. And I doubt that Matthew 12:24 would have been placed on my heart if the identity of the Spirit were merely questioned, i.e. evidently it was the naming that caused the reaction in the Spirit.

Even so, the poster who put out the bait (AndrewC) has always been very reasonable in dialogue with me. And, true to form, he had the prescription for identifying the Spirit - which I fully agree is correct in post 1961.

The main point was that Creationists claimed that a letter of recommendation was an entitlement and thus the courts should force the professor to write such a letter.

Good or bad, it keeps it bumped to the top for those that missed it earlier. So at least they get a flavor of the original thread before it became a catchall....

Why not Linux vs. Windows too? And the Mormons. And the Rush fans/detractors. “Let 100 flowers bloom; let 100 schools of thought contend”.

Yeah, this thread is the ultimate FReeper catharsis. Let Lucianne back in here to yap on and on too.

The thread won't be complete, however, without a picture of Spifford, for old times sake.

I really should invite my old friend, Jack Thompson, to return so he can participate in this thread.

Did I complain? Yes, as a matter of fact I have, but privately.

Yes, but you complain about my posts publicly and continue to do so months after they have been posted.

That is why we tried to make an agreement not to use insults. One of the signs of adulthood is the ability not to escalate a round of insults.

And I tried the hardest to make it work. However, when I saw by the actions of the evolutionists that they had not changed their behavior one iota, that they were not willing to correct any of their own for breaking the agreement, that they were acting as complete hypocrites and were attacking me for pointing out that the agreement was being made a joke of, I pulled out of the farce.

BTW - the post you responded to which showed the totally execrable behavior of the evo negotiator of the agreement was pulled so I would be unable to prove my point. Seems that posting the very own words of evos is considered abuse by some moderators.

That's one of the tactics of all tyrants to suppress the truth. The evolutionists use it with gusto.
