Dear Free Republic Friends,
My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.
So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):
I have poisoned the well.
By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.
By my intellectual ineptitude.
By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.
By my biting every hand that fed me.
By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.
By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.
Evidenced by:
One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.
By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.
BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.
Conclusion:
It is a sad day.
For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.
So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?
I can hardly wait.
Is it the 18th yet? Tick, tock.
More trash.
I think you're funny Chad, no matter what everyone else says.
We are a small people, but fierce and LOUD (as my husband will tell you.)
Last night, after reading this thread, I FReepmailed Jim informing him that I was donating after refraining for awhile. (I also shamelessly bribed Jim with my small donation to fix the typo in my screename, Thanks again Jim :).
I told Jim that I stopped donating because I didn't agree with a rash of bannings which occured last year, and that I felt some moderators were a little heavy handed at times.
In fairness to you moderators, I'll try and explain in a little more detail.
When I discovered FR in 2001, I instantly became addicted, and liked it so much that I donated twice my first year. Then a rash of squabbles broke out between groups of posters, which wrought bannings , voluntary separations, and bad feelings. A group of these ex-FReepers ended up at LP and posted daily about their issues with FR ranging from unfair moderating to coordinated group "lynchings" to claims of fraud of Jim's part.
Some of the ex-freepers at LP seemed sincere in their claims and made reasoned arguments to back their complaints. There were some FReepers in good standing posting in support of those ex-FReepers. This group's main complaint was with the moderators and a certain group of posters.
At the time, I decided to withhold donating from FR untill I could make an informed decision regarding the issue. Understand that I never gave those who accused Jim of fraud a minutes thought. My disagreement was with the way posters whose opinions weren't popular but were within the rules of the forum were treated one way, while others were allowed more leeway by the moderators. Nothing happened to me personally, I feel that I've been treated fairly and have no complaints in that department.
When I made the decision to stop donating, I didn't complain to Jim asking him to change the way he runs his forum. Nor did I make my complaints public. I'm not the whining type, as evidenced by the fact that I've never pushed the abuse button on any poster I've gotten into battles with.(BTW...Have I had any posts removed? I'm not aware of any.)
In the time since I made that decision, IMHO the way the forum is handled has improved. I've come to realize that you moderators have a tough job given the volume of posts, and that you do this on a volunteer basis. Overall, I feel the way y'all balance allowing unpopular but otherwise valid posts with removing the posts and posters that deserve removing has greatly improved.
Y'all especially gained admiration and respect from me for the way the Lady Pilgrim missing son thread was handled. This happened not far from me, and if Richard had not been found that Thursday, Katie Scarlett, the black lab and I would have spent a weekend trudging through Talledega National Forest helping look for him.
So along with my small donation I sent off this morning and this explanation, I offer my sincere gratitude to all of you for doing the valuable but thankless job of being a moderator.
P.S.: The Admin Mod who is a Dale jr. fan is my favorite. :)
I don't believe that was the word I used.
I believe I said there were five or six who were decent, honorable, judicious, fair minded folks.
The fact that they have continued to put up with the crap and the idiocy of MAF and Dales is slowly leading me to the position, that they no longer deserve to be be anonymous.
JR's dishonesty and the fact that he has crapped on everyone who has ever helped him makes me think the light of day may be the last hope FR has of ever fullfilling the promise it once held of getting the public educated and informed on what it takes to preserve our liberty and this great land we love.
I have tried to be reasonaby quiet about FR and want to sit back for a year and just observe. But everytime an oldtimer, well respected Freeper gets banned or just disappears, by voluntarily withdrawing their postings, I get very angry all over again.
October 23, 2003 is the aniversary of my last post. If MAF and Dales are still moderators on that date, the sun will shine in BigTime.
I invite the moderators to privately e-mail me, Badjoe@socal.rr.com and make their case why this should not happen. I am open to reason. I am not open to lame excuses.
That is such a bunch of B.S. No one did anything to you on the Lynch thread, you did it all yourself. As soon as you disagree with people, you start insults, instead of sticking to the discussion. Ugly insults at that. Chad has been very decent with you considering the things you called him (remember Timoth McVeigh?), and you call his light hearted responses trash. Everyone else can see his attempts at humor, what don't you try it sometime, it can diffuse things.
" By the turn of the century, America's new educrats were pushing a new form of schooling with a new mission (and it wasn't to teach). The famous philosopher and educator John Dewey wrote in 1897: "
" Every teacher should realize he is a social servant set apart for the ... maintenance --- of the proper social order and the securing of the right social growth. "
fC ...
Is that all FR is supposed to be ... a refresher course for your public school brainwashing --- social engineering !
Don't question our overlords ... latter day ' science ' warriors --- saints - goddesses ?
Too many liberal plants - moles - DRONES on the FR !
I smell replacement theology.
It's not just for billiard balls.
The Anglo-Saxon ("Anglo" meaning bull, or ox, the symbol of the tribe of Ephraim, and "saxons" meaning "sons of Isaac") Celts, the Scythian Celts, the Cimmerian Celts, the Sarmation Celts are the descendents of the ten tribes and they did migrate west. God's chosen is a whole different matter though. God's chosen will number 7000 and they are people that believe that Jesus died for our sins on the cross that are so zealous and true that God has and will "elect" them to prophesy and stand against the coming beast system. Now there are also the elect chosen through time, they number 144,000, and most have already passed on. They were the prophets, etc. There's no genetics involved with the elect, since those that are elected simply have to believe zealously. Of course most are probably in the western Christian nations since that's where most Christians are. The western migrations are simply those that are descended from the ten tribes. The "chosen" and the "tribes of Israel" are confused with each other. The tribes of Israel consist of probably a billion people today, the elect number only 7000. God chooses whose sould get to be placed in which body or nation and I'm sure that he chooses souls that stood with him in the rebellion to be placed in bodies descended from the lost tribes, since he always said that the lost tribes are his people and would be a blessing to the people of the world. As far as the Jews go, they are descendants of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin and Levi and I'm sure God will continue to look out for them just as He has for us as we made our way to Northwestern Europe, the UK, and the US.
I prefer an explanation rather to be dismissed out of hand and wanted to know why you thought I was wrong.
