VANITY: The "Truth" about JimRob and Free Republic according to BADJOE

Dear Free Republic Friends,

My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.

So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):

I have poisoned the well.

By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.

By my intellectual ineptitude.

By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.

By my biting every hand that fed me.

By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.

By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.

Evidenced by:

One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.

By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.

BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.

Conclusion:

It is a sad day.

For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.

So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?

I can hardly wait.

Is it the 18th yet? Tick, tock.

The forums are addictive. I'm addicted. A "tiger is a tiger" and all that. FR is the crack cocaine of addictions. LP is more like a 3% solution, or whatever Sherlock Holmes used. I'm trying to moderate my own use. Because moderation is better than complete elimination.

Still -- just as many heavy opiate users do so to ameliorate constant high levels of pain, and then become addicted, I think many of us got started in interenet news and political forums because the media and academia -- teachers and texts -- and thus the everyday commons level discussions we all encounter had become so painful to our natural truth senses. We were screaming inwardly in pain.

The mail-lists, the usenet, delphi forums, Jim Robinson's FR, etc were so liberating! Freedom! Truth! Understanding!

Yet a pleasure not without its danger. And here we are tdoay. Maybe the bad animus of the pack houndings, of the seemingly random and arbtitrary zotting, suspensions etc serves a good purpose. Like those anti-addiction medications that make one nauseous when one uses the drug he is addicted to. Maybe FR should take a sabbatical year -- one of seven. To break the bad habits.

Guys you can't build yourself up by tearing the other guy down. Tout your own virtues. It is the only way you will reach the heights FR has. And believe me, I'd like to see 100 successful FR's. If there were a hundred of us none of our problems would exist. Competition cleans up the weak spots.

I asked a mental health doctor today about biker bar. Told him there was a group of upset chatters from a internet site that eneded up banned and since then have made it their life mission to bash and slam and just plain disrupt the site they were banned from. Well then I added and this has been going on for at least 4 years. LOLrof He said there is a deep problem with these people and he would love to study them. So I gave him the http to here at the biker bar. Maybe someday he will release a study on the subject of mental internet chatters. Oh and he added that everyone here should get outside more. He has you all pegged!

Speaking of vactions from FR. When I took my vaction I found there was this rats nest of former freepers and I say former freepers with reservation. I really think they were all sorelosers from The Gore Side undercover. Even the real rats kicked Eschoir off of their Monkeyman smirkie site.

To all:

I would hope your appearances and posting on these pages states your desire to undo years of liberal policies in this land I hope we all dearly love. I would hope that a hundred successful LibertyPost.org and FreeRepublics would advance the cause we all hold near and dear.

From what I have read here it seems many are more interested in fighting each other than they are in advancing the cause of individual liberty and limited constitution government as envisioned by our forefathers.

If my second paragraph is the truth, shame on you.

Let us stop the petty bickering about crap that doesn't amount to a hill of blue beans and get on with the job at hand.
