I have to say I am very disappointed in Mercuria. She still has an active account here, even though she has not posted anything for over a year, and she makes a point of going over to this Edgar Hall and attacking both you and this site.

Here is a little newsflash, Mercuria, honey: There are people who come and register to this site for the sole purpose of posting something they know is a troll. They get angry responses, which is what they want.

And you know what is funny about them? We can see them a mile away.

I am sorry if you think the mods should not have a sense of humor, or that it is at least acceptable to post something that is blatantly anti-semitic as that alleged Buchanan satire was. If you are expecting some kind of an apology from Jim or any of the mods, you will most likely die from old age waiting.

It is, I believe, possible to categorize people into three types.

Type 1: people who create...they come up with new ideas, new ways of doing things.

Type 2: people who are too barren to create, but who copy an existing idea. Generally, the copy is inferior to the original.

Type 3: people who lack the ability even to copy. All they can do is try to tear down and try to deface what others have created.

The man who came up with FReeRepublic is of type 1, in my opinion; and all the other sites merely accentuate this truth. It is ironic that their efforts unintentionally proclaim that FR is the standard by which all others are measured.

Well said. The perpetually malcontented demand the right to urinate in every punchbowl in sight. There are real Bush haters here whose only principle is being anti-Bush.

Oh, maybe they had a principle at one time, but in fact Bush committed the sin of making a decision that incensed them. Or failed to make a decision. Or something. And now, if they're not complaining about Bush, they're complaing about the fact that we don't want to listen to their complaining about Bush. That's more annoying than anything.
