> And what good will it do him where he's going?

It wouldn't do any good if he were going to a better place, either :-)

Castro is just one more living proof that Leftists worship their rulers as living Gods. They have no heaven and no God, so they kiss the Pharaoh's toe and cringe before his power. They make pilgrimages to godforsaken lands ruled by ruthless tyrants and see the utopia in their heart, not the devastation before their eyes. Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot, Kim il-Sung and his toad-like son, Ceausescu, Castro, a hundred others -- all absolute despots while pretending to usher in classless society and social justice.

It's amazing what the suckers will buy.

And btw, honorable mention to Bill Clinton who spent eight years pretending to be Jesus -- and no few of his credulous followers believed it.

Many 'RATS and Hollywood elitists sincerely believe that Elian is better off in Cuba where he can enjoy free indoctrination and health care. Haven't seen too many pictures of Elian and his dad together having fun doing father and son stuff.

I am glad to see this brought up. People have forgotten what happened that day. It must not be forgotten.

Although I do disagree on how Elian was evicted I stand seperate from most my freeper pals on this site and say that I am agreement with him being deported as I feel young, old, no matter what condition you are illegal you need to go we are not in the business of taking care of everyone or at least my tax dollars are not.

I still think of Elian too. The day Elian was dragged from his home at gun point was the day I declared a Jihad on the demacratic party.

What happened to Elian is a perfect example of what is wrong with liberals/demacrats. They can't be trusted period. They have no concept of freedom. They do not value our Constitution. They don't care about the blessings we enjoy in our nation. They would throw them away in an instant to get more power. If they were given their way (including the Hollywood elites), our government would not be run too much differently than Castro's. The Clinton administration was 8 years of outrage after outrage (and the press covering up/spinning each one)ending with the ultimate outrage 9/11. Never Forget.

1. Elian was NOT illegal. LEGALLY Cubans had the right to stay in the US the minute their feet touched dry ground.

2. Elian was being supported by his relatives, NOT goverment assistance.

OK I knew I'd catch flack for this but 1) I could care less what the law states INO all Cubans that come here via boat who do not go through normal channels are illegal. 2)The rise in diseases such as TB and other ilnesses have dramatically risen in Florida in conjunction with the dramatic rise of the Cuban population. I was never in agreement of this law with regards to Cuban or any nationality for that matter. All should go through the process. I'm tired of MY TAX Dollars supporting others. And oh about the family and the family supporting him. Do not think for one second our tax dollars would not support this child.

As long as your opinion over rules the Cuban Adjustment Act signed into law in 1966 giving him the legal right to be here, you also might want to know that your other opinion has also cost you 1.83 million dollars just to send him back. That isn't counting lawsuits pending.

Up until the time he was kidnapped, there were none of your tax dollars being spent on supporting him. Other than that, you are a sharp cookie.

I see, so George W. Bush is in the White House because the voters in Miami want welfare. And then to add insult to injury they somehow have Republican representatives in the House. I guess they don't know the GOP pushes responsibility.

Hey you saw the fiasco in Florida with regards to the election. Even with the Elian incident Miami-Dade county STILL made the election tight. So do they want welfare? Heck I dunno but I have done extensive research in immgration issues and am well versed in what it is costing the American tax payer and I will tell you this in my research I have found that legal immigration is costing this country more than what illegal immigration is. I was shocked in reading this too believe it or not.

Spielberg's position has really saddened me. How can a man that knows about tyranny and made great films on the Holocaust be such an a$$ kisser for a tyrant??? I'm so deeply saddened by Spielberg and hope he rethinks his position.

I agree illegal immigration needs to be curtailed. What does this have to do with your conviction Elian's family in Miami would have asked the government for money?
