Some might say that freemasonry requires followers to "believe" in God so that they can better undermind God. The devil uses the unsuspecting as well as the true followers of evil. For example, satanic followers use the tools of Christianity and elements of Christian worship to pervert and disrespect Christianity. Perhaps this is true with freemasonry and the folks at the lower levels do not know this and are comforted by the "elements" of Christianity they see within freemasonry. I have always felt that only the higher degree practitioners have a real clue as to what is going on.
