What would you expect from the neocons. Ron Paul doesn't just pay lip service to the Constitution, he votes according to it. These elitist goons in DC don't keep us free, that wonderful document does. That's why both major parties are intent on destroying it.

If only the interviewer had asked these questions and pressed for *specific* answers:
1. Assuming you're against ousting Saddam, what should be done instead?
2. What, if anything, would convince you Saddam is a threat to our nation's security?
3. Is war ever justified? How so or how not?

Ron Paul - A voice of one crying in the wilderness.

Ron Paul only became a Republican to get elected something that seems missed by his followers on here! If he were truly a patriot, he wouldn't hide behind becoming a Republican to get elected -- he would run as a Liberertarian!

It's interesting that on the terrorism issue he twice dismissed as a canard the idea that we were attacked because of our prosperity and decency, yet he didn't provide an alternative theory.

Ron Paul doesn't just pay lip service to the Constitution, he votes according to it. Yet, he's gutless.
He runs as a Republican, instead of on the Libertarian ticket.
He'd likely be more at home in buckled shoes and a powdered wig.

Well, you certainly don't want liberal Republicans, do you? I guess that leaves only the neo-cons in the party.

I dont try to defend Castro. I just happen to think I can undermine them better by introducing them to buying our stuff. I believe thats the way we should treat people like Saddam Hussein too. It's a good thing that wiser heads than this are running our government today. Anyone who believes that Saddam Hussein can be "talked to" doesn't have a clue and shouldn't be allowed 1000 miles from our foreign policy.

Hey, if 'they hate us because of our freedom' satisfies your intellect, why should we even bother explaining deeper issues?
But I will try:
Wilsonians (liberals) believe we were attacked because we were disengaged/did not do enough in the Middle East.
Non-Interventionists believe we were attacked because of our meddling in the Middle East and other foreign adventures.
Both points have merit and can be debated however one idea is still distinctly Conservative and the other liberal...this is a conservative web site right?
