I can't even read his "hokum" anymore. I can't even imagine a child falling for this "fairy tale" of a religion, let alone average intellect adults. From my experience, Cults attract those that have "issues" or are lost sheep searching for self-gratification. Mormanism fits the bill to the tee. They have sucked in the "heavy laden" with promises and lies.

Illbay has proved all my pre-conceived notions to be true. The 10 Commandments are "dead" to him. "I am the Lord your God..." went down the tubes when J.S. arrived on the scene. J.S. became the New Christ and in J.S.'s own words he did a better job than Jesus.

IMO, the Mormons have built a "lifestyle" more than a religion. Just read the recovery threads to see how that "lifesyle" is so difficult to leave. I have lived among Mormans my entire life and it's either you are in or you are out. Their kids can't even be in a regular Boy Scout Troop. Why is that? Personally, I think they are afraid. They stick to themselves, never really socializing with others except those of thier "stake". Illbay will call me a liar, but after a lifetime of neighbors (Kirtland only 4 miles away) I can tell you all these things for facts.

My daughters best friend was from a Mormon family. She sporadically asked my daughter to social events at her church. I had no problem with it, because I have raised my kids to be CHRISTIAN. Never ONCE was her friend allowed in our church for social events. NEVER.

It's fear. Mormonism is full of scare tactics and secrets. Why would they want their kids in a church that is open to all and no strings attatched except for one: Do you except Christ as your personal savior? If you ask them about any of the "weird" stuff, like the underwear or secret names, for instance, they are offended and appalled. And I HAVE asked.

I have loved every one of my Mormon neighbors. They were all wonderful people....but something, that I could never put my finger on, was "off". I think it's fear. It's the "secret society" stuff. They either don't want you to REALLY know what they believe, or they arent' quite sure themselves.

Ok.. End of rant. Anyone else bored with being "condemned to hell" by the Mormon posters on this thread?

Problem is, nothing that you've written has any bearing on reality.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is vibrant. It is growing, it is going forward, it is spreading abroad exactly as the Prophet Joseph Smith said that it would.

It is the Church of Jesus Christ. There is NO other. All others "draw near to Him with their lips, but their hearts are FAR from him."

This you can tell, from the ranting, raving and foaming at the mouth of those like you who are confronted with the awful gulf of darkness represented by your pitiful "creed"-based religious institutions.

Try as they might, they have NO power to salvation. There is no authority, there is no priesthood, there is no Holy Ghost, there are no oracles, no revelation, no promise of eternal life.

Just a bunch of loosely-bound myths that depend on a shortened subset of the Bible to amuse those who are easily gulled.

These institutions provide the great bulk of converts for the true Church of Christ.

Yes, these are those with "issues": They are troubled by the dead, dust-filled creeds that more amuse than inspire. They have issues with false religion, false priests, dead and decaying rituals that signify nothing.

They have issues with hungering and thirsting after truth, and so they join with us, and revel in the truth.

I hear their testimonies hundreds of times a year. So many who were lost, but now are found. They are the creme de la creme of YOUR institutions, and they are now out from under the whited sepulchres of your "churches."

They are now one with the Truth Church of Jesus Christ. They know there is no other.
