Join with the Saints, and enjoy the fruit of the tree.

OOPS! Adam already made that mistake for me...and he didn't enjoy it.

Christ took the consequences of that and all of my subsequent sin, kept the law in my place, enabled me to be justified in the sight of God, and gave me the fruit of the Spirit.

You can hear the hiss of the serpent in your statement..."Join with the SSSSSSSaints"...

I can't even read his "hokum" anymore. I can't even imagine a child falling for this "fairy tale" of a religion, let alone average intellect adults. From my experience, Cults attract those that have "issues" or are lost sheep searching for self-gratification. Mormanism fits the bill to the tee. They have sucked in the "heavy laden" with promises and lies.

Illbay has proved all my pre-conceived notions to be true. The 10 Commandments are "dead" to him. "I am the Lord your God..." went down the tubes when J.S. arrived on the scene. J.S. became the New Christ and in J.S.'s own words he did a better job than Jesus.

IMO, the Mormons have built a "lifestyle" more than a religion. Just read the recovery threads to see how that "lifesyle" is so difficult to leave. I have lived among Mormans my entire life and it's either you are in or you are out. Their kids can't even be in a regular Boy Scout Troop. Why is that? Personally, I think they are afraid. They stick to themselves, never really socializing with others except those of thier "stake". Illbay will call me a liar, but after a lifetime of neighbors (Kirtland only 4 miles away) I can tell you all these things for facts.

My daughters best friend was from a Mormon family. She sporadically asked my daughter to social events at her church. I had no problem with it, because I have raised my kids to be CHRISTIAN. Never ONCE was her friend allowed in our church for social events. NEVER.

It's fear. Mormonism is full of scare tactics and secrets. Why would they want their kids in a church that is open to all and no strings attatched except for one: Do you except Christ as your personal savior? If you ask them about any of the "weird" stuff, like the underwear or secret names, for instance, they are offended and appalled. And I HAVE asked.

I have loved every one of my Mormon neighbors. They were all wonderful people....but something, that I could never put my finger on, was "off". I think it's fear. It's the "secret society" stuff. They either don't want you to REALLY know what they believe, or they arent' quite sure themselves.

Ok.. End of rant. Anyone else bored with being "condemned to hell" by the Mormon posters on this thread?

Adam made a "mistake" so that you could have a chance at life.

He and Eve did what they did for your benefit.

Yet another misunderstanding, due NOT from any reading of the Bible, but because your feckless, authority-bereft, creed-driven "pastors" told you so.

Too bad. Of course, you could disvcover the TRUTH, if you wanted. It's up to you. It's freely available--unlike any reasonable explanation of those damnable "creeds" of yours.
