You cannot work to ensure your salvation.

I never understand when you people make this statement. The fact that you obey the commandment of Christ, to accept Him, is "working to ensure your salvation."

You do not understand the Bible. You use "Bible-Prime," filtered through the spurious "Creeds" that took the place of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You do not understand that salvation is a journey, not a destination. In fact, you do not really even understand the MEANING of salvation, of eternal life.

There are so many holes in your undertanding, and it is amazing to me that you aren't curious about those gaps.

WHY was Christ resurrected? Why are WE to be resurrected? What did Peter mean when he explained that Christ was preaching to the souls who perished in the flood?

Just a few little questions, to point out how there are such huge gaps in your understanding, which you patch over with the old, tired saw about "being saved, but I didn't do anything for it."

We can't save ourselves. That's absolutely true. But it is patently ridiculous to then go forward and state that we have no responsibility for ourselves, that it doesn't matter what choices we make.

Satan is gratified when that is the limit of our understanding, but it does NOT please God.

And one day, you just might realize the truth of it, and leave your dead works and your false creeds and half-truth-strewn theologies, and Come Unto Christ!

Heresy? or Not??

The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.

Who, for us men for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.

And I believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
