Good, you also think it is strange that Ed comes up with the roofer angle but the police say there's nothing to it.
Ed, whether he knows it or not, isn't helping the case with these off-the-wall ideas. John Walsh may have all the sympathy in the world for the Smarts, pushing this roofer as a suspect - or he may be more interested in raising his ratings.
An already confused case gets more confused, and one has to wonder why those closest to Elizabeth would want to do that?

Who do you believe:
Ed Smart - There's something to the roofer story and MK backs it up.
The SLCPD - There's nothing to the roofer story, MK said it was Ricci in the bedroom.
John Walsh - I feel sorry for you Smarts, so eventually, out of the goodness of my heart, I'll help you out. Hang in there in the meantime.
As far as Ed, I don't know. I do know Ed has made statements in the past that he thought Ricci was involved but not the person that came in the house. As far as the SLCPD, I don't believe what they said here because I don't believe it was Ricci in the bedroom. I have no idea what their strategy is here. As far as John Walsh, I don't believe him either because if he truly had something that would break the case he would have aired it immediately. As you said about the already confused case getting more confused, it reminds me of the proverbial 'elephant in the living room' that everyone sees there but no one ever discusses. I would still like to see a picture of John Russell Remington.
