Ten Reasons to Vote for Libertarians

....even if you don’t like them!

1..Libertarians understand that freedom requires responsibility. Freedom can be denied to those who harm others or the property of others.

2..Libertarians ALWAYS vote against tax increases and ALWAYS vote for freedom.

3..Libertarians understand that freedom and equality go hand in hand. Your freedom to live as you please is given to you by the same authority which gives freedom to the persons who may have different lifestyles. You have to give them their freedom to do that to obtain your freedom.

4..Your freedom is not given by the Constitution. It is given from a higher power. Libertarians understand that the Constitution merely sets it down on paper.

5..Libertarians understand that God is of libertarian spirit. He gave humanity free will. He could have just as easily made humanity incapable of free choice. It is kind of arrogant for government to deny the freedom that God Himself has given. When the Israelites wanted a king, God was offended. Laws by man are petty and inferior.

6..If you are unhappy with both Democrats and Republicans, register your unhappiness with a vote for a Libertarian. If a Libertarian got 30% of the vote, it would scare the pants off of the ruling class. They would become more receptive to reason.

7..Libertarians understand that a good society is built upon hard working individuals doing their best in a responsible way. It seems that the ruling parties think that a good society is built upon government group efforts wherein people work (shirk) together.

8..Libertarians understand that the Bill of Rights is as relevant and crucially important today as it was over 200 years ago. Libertarians even think that our government should start observing it once more.

9..Libertarians realize that freedom has many limitations. The winners of elections do not have the right to lord the will of the majority over the rights of the minorities.

10..Libertarians are the only political people that believe that 98% of our citizens are morally good enough and intelligent enough to run their own lives. Basic laws are there to protect us from the other 2%.

"Libertarianism is a value system - not a party."

A value system? As in personal values? What personal values? If it feels good, do it? Lovely "values" indeed.

Here's my reason not to.Since it's quite long, I'll just post the link. However, I will say again, no matter WHAT youintend, only the results actually count. If the result is a Dim in office, you have been made a fool of. SOLIDLY.

Let's destroy the REAL threat to liberty...the Dims. Then the Republicans and Libertarians can fight over the carcass for all they're worth.

You on the other hand, appear to just go in, straight ticket, and the Republicans(Rino's, too) are gonna "make everything ok." There are shades of gray, not just black and white ya know.

The key to conservative values is getting conservative judges appointed. You don't do that with a Democratic congress. You can BS all you want about "acceptable Democrats" but it's a load of crap. You may not like your local Republican but give Bush the leverage to appoint conservative judges to the federal bench. Otherwise, you get the freakshow in the 9th Circuit, dominated by Carter and Clinton era appointees. And you wonder why the courts undermine your freedoms. Well, the fact of the matter, is that YOU gave them that power by not empowering your president to change things.

That is wrong. That is not their only issue. I've talked to some of their candidates and they don't even talk about till a person like you asks them. They have a very valid point on the erosion of liberties to the average citizen(you and me), that has been caused in the guise of the War on Drugs.

What good does it do to talk about liberties when you allow Democrats to stack the court with lifetime appointees who legislate from the bench? You guys are full of crap.

"I was going to vote for republicans on tuesday, but I'm not going to now. You have revealed yourselves as little more than high-schoolers at a pep rally,"

Now who's acting like a little child? Name-calling the sign of an intelligent, adult libertarian? Must be. Pity, that.

Not all Democrats are the same as Bill Clinton, especially at the local level. Gcruse seems to vote the way I do. Occasionally I'll vote for a local Democrat or a Libertarian, especially if I know them or agree with a certain issue.

On a national level, virtually all D's occupy the liberal half of the spectrum and all R's occupy the conservative half of the spectrum. It seems pretty dark grey and light grey to me.

Then why are you so eager to change them?

Do whatever you please. Get in line with the rest of the cattle and pull the Democrat lever for all I care. But vote for someone who has a chance of being elected. Anything else is just delusional.

Do I ask to much?

Not really, but a full complement of vowels, as in:
"Do I ask too much" might be helpful to you.

I'm talking about national politics. I could care less about the locals. Democrats can do far less damage to the entire country on the local level.

Whoopie shit. You're the one throwing your vote away. I'm merely shining the light of reality on your foolishness

Einstein, I never indicated how I was voting. There are only two candidates on my entire ballot who not DEM/GOP, and neither is a race that isn't already over.

Once again, you whine about the possibility of losing due to libertarians voting for the candidate of their choice, and yet you insult those same people. Do you not see the irony at all?

Do the GOP a favor, and simply stop "soliciting votes" (or whatever you think you're doing on these threads) until November 6th or so. They'll lose fewer votes, and your candidates just might survive the rampant voter fraud that the Dems have in store. Remember how the Minnesota Funeral Rally turned off many potential Dem voters? Well, your posts, while not as rude or abrasive as cheering and booing at a Memorial Service, still risk the same effect.

(It's good advice, and it's free. Don't let the Dems win just because you can't control your mouth, and you can't stop making assumptions about how others will or won't vote.)

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

What's the matter ... I'm not being sensitive enough for you? You want me to temper my remarks? Piss off. I don't submit to censorship. Or is that part of the new Libertarian platform?

You are welcome to your opinions.

I hope and pray that our elected leaders have the wisdom and courage to return US to Constitutional government and restore the freedoms that have eroded.

If the gop can get this job done I will be 100% behind them. If they continue to offer bigger government, more taxes, and "dnc lite", I will be 100% against them.

Is it possible that the gopers who blindly follow and see things only as black and white realize that their candidates are weak and wish to have a scapegoat to blame?

Try and have an objective thought and find what you truly believe in, and never ever compromise.

Blah, blah, blah ... I'm just sick to death of Libertarians trying to BS people with the mantra of "our votes aren't wasted" when, in fact, they're doing exactly that. The emperor isn't wearing any clothes. You are exposed.

Drug legalization is all that the libertarians on this site care about. It gets very tiresome.
