Six boys face animal cruelty charges after attacking cat in Galveston
By ABC13 Eyewitness News
(10/21/02) Six Galveston boys are facing animal cruelty charges after a shocking attack on a cat. Police say the boys attached the cat to a fence by wrapping its limbs around the metal wiring.
They allegedly pulled one of the cat's paws off in the process. Police say after that, they all threw rocks as heavy as a pound at the cat. Its owner heard the cat screaming and called police.
Police took the five 10-year-olds and one 11-year-old to juvenile detention, but they're all out this morning. Their parents picked them up after midnight.

Let's see ... I've got a fence that should be just about tall enough and long enough to attach "the five 10-year-olds and one 11-year-old" to see how they react to the same treatment.

a human is the same as a cat in your eyes...interesting.

To quote Lisa Douglas of Green Acres regarding Arnold, the pig: "A pig is a person to another pig."

I'd put a cat on par with a group of heartless torturers, myself.

These little thugs are just getting started. If they aren't stopped now .. with a disciplinary hammering .. next they will be doing the same with people.
But then it won't really matter to you will it .. you will just be one of those who wrings their hands about "why didn't someone do something earlier".

and when a women kills a fetus, you look the other way. I can post a pic of a seventeen week old fetus if you'd like?
people are ass backwards. what should concern them does not, and what shouldn't, "Traumatises them".

'And when a woman kills a fetus, you look the other way.'
THAT was a leap in logic. Where did you get that idea?
To: sit-rep
And I'd say that a group of 10- and 11-year-olds who torture a cat, and whose parents don't come to bail them out of jail under after midnight, aren't on the road to being 'just fine'.
To: sit-rep
I would not be surprised if a court meted out a punishment which would be more severe than if a human were subjected to the same treatment. I have often thought if those who commit unspeakable crimes, such as the Carr brothers in Kansas, were prosecuted for cruelty to animals the verdicts would be more just.

Sick indeed. Prosecute the torturers, sue the parents. It's really too bad that the little hell-spawn will probably have their records sealed after they turn 18; a portion of justice would be for them to retain their earned title of animal torturer.

Forget about it...there is a lesson to be learned by these juvenile "Cat Killers" but I really don't see this as worthy of an argument on FR...whereas the adult "Abortion", (a true murder industry) needs a lot of attention... I tend to think the Kitty protectors need to get real or get lost.

Watsing a cat does not make you a killer.Looks like you spent more time doing crazy things when you were young than getting a grasp on the English language (e.g. me and my friends).
Your carefree attitude about wasting a cat is a frightening reality of what is wrong in our world today.
To: iopscusa
It is precisely your attitude that makes it almost impossible for conservatives to be taken seriously in this country. Most people want a compassionate country, not an amoral one like you represent with your attitude in this case.

Killing an animal is one thing, torture is another. Wanting to see it scream in pain as you continue to torment it is a sign of something truly being wrong with the person doing it. They obviously do not grasp the concept that pain hurts, it is something fun to them. So maybe a cattle prod up the butt or something will enlighten them without permanent damage - or someone could just sit them down and say 'ya know, little timmy, hurting is bad so don't do it again, k?' and at that point I am sure they will slap themselves on the forehead and go 'WOAH! That is deep man, I had no idea. Pain hurts. Wow. Now I am sorry for my actions.'
To: chance33_98
OMG! This is disgusting! After being punished according to the law, every single one of them needs psychological help.
