Maybe that's why no fingerprints on CD cases were in evidence (Oh, we didn't take any!) and the FBI porno expert was involved. LE is hiding any clue that DW was in anyway tied to these animals.
Give me copys of Westerfield's, Whitemore's and Rowland's harddrives and I'll make the connection. (Give me a copy of Damon's hardrive while we're at it!) This case is SO FRUSTRATING!
It doesn't make sense, it never made sense.

Maybe DW met Rowland at Dad's, told him that he's an engineer and could to some tech work for him?
If LE already had DW tied to rowland through Dad's, maybe THAT is what focused them on him so quickly.

Someone in the Van Dam household pointed LE to David Westerfield. Either Brenda or Damon. If what is suspected is true, it would account for alot of the trace evidence, then perhaps that person knew about or gave the disks to him or even wanted copies.

Did you hear today that Westerfields' house had been sold?
400,000 plus, but 50,000, less than was asked. I did not catch the exact sell price, it was on the local news tonite.
Also in the motions of discovery,Fledman asked for the notes from the FBI, and there were none, could be they needed more time to get them ready. Have you came across any from the FBI? I can not believe there are not any notes.

I think that I got a connection: Alfonso Gonzalez lives on Oak Knoll Rd., Countryside apartments are also on Oak Knoll Road (Countryside apartments are where Brooke Rowland lived). Can't tell if they were in same building or not.
Now the possible connection is this: Diane Halfman's married name was Gonzalez, I believe she was married to Alfonso Gonzalez, who, by the way, I believe, is a Captain with the San Diego Police Department.
Remember the rumor that their was a LEO at the VD home that night?
I believe this info. is correct, please let me know if I got something wrong. Link below to confirm Alfonso Gonzalez's address.

You can probably tell that I am "digitally amish". If I could do a direct link, I would. I just used a reverse directory for Oak Knoll Road, Poway, CA and happened onto Alfonso's address.
It may be nothing, but it made me go...hmmmmmmmm

If I remember correctly, Alfonso Gonzalez is a Captain with the San Diego Police Department; additionally, if I recall correctly, Alfonso Gonzalez is the ex-husband of Diane Halfman, a retired SPLEO and "close" friend of the VD's.
