Many years ago, I had a friend who's father was in the British military, stationed in Cypress. There are evidently two parts of Cypress. Which one do you live in?

And is the other part of Cypress as moderate in their views?

I am reading up on Cyprus. It use to be under British control until 1959. I'm sure that the British had an influence in this region. Turkey invaded and gained control of 35 percent of the island in 1974 and now there is a buffer zone.

The British influence and the protection of the British government is probably why it is more mosderate than most Moslem countries. It also sounds like it depends on tourism.
