Women who do not undergo genital mutilation in those cultures where a predominant percentage of the population practice and support it are considered "unclean". They are not considered marriage material, and are often forced to turn to work as whores and "dancing girls" in order to survive. There is little other work for them.

I don't know if the practice of infibulation makes a culture more murderous, but I'm sure it doesn't make them more passive toward the "uncut".

Heck if they're not getting any pleasure from sex, and the men have this kind of attitude toward women, maybe these moms are doing their society a favor.
