Diarrhea parasite spreading in 41 states - with suspected cases topping 11,000... as officials continue to scramble to find the source

The 'explosive diarrhea parasite' cyclosporiasis is running rampant across the US, with thousands of additional cases pushing the outbreak to a record high.

Some 4,173 laboratory-confirmed cases have been reported across 41 states, the CDC confirmed on Tuesday.

However, officials warn the true toll could stretch past 11,000, as more than 7,400 additional reports are still awaiting laboratory confirmation and investigation.

Many of the newly reported cases have come from Michigan and Ohio, and local health departments are reporting more than 7,000 in those states alone. At least 308 people have been hospitalized.

Despite the spike in cases, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr called the multi-state outbreak 'under control.'

'We do have the outbreak under control,' he told ABC News on Tuesday, marking one of the first times RFK Jr has spoken on the outbreak since it was being initially investigated.

'We have an extensive forensics, epidemiological forensics, and we've identified the source of the outbreak. We and the companies that are involved have implemented a recall.'

Yesterday, Taylor Farms said it had temporarily shut down the Central Mexico processing facility linked to the outbreak.

The facility produces five-pound bags of shredded iceberg lettuce sold to Taco Bell, Sysco and other large food distributors.

But the FDA said Sunday that Taylor Farms's lettuce returned a false-positive result for the parasite that causes the infection, cyclospora.

'due to the complexity in detection of cyclospora, FDA laboratory experts re-reviewed the sample results and have concluded that and should be the finding does not represent true amplification and should be considered a false positive.'

Saw a youtube video where the cops were called to a home depot because of a bomb threat. The threat maker was in the bathroom.

When police investigated the guy said, “I told them they better clear out of here because I’m about to blow this place up.”

The police laughed, no charges.

How this compares to total diarrhea cases

The CDC does not publish the total number of all diarrhea cases in the U.S. each year, but cyclosporiasis is a rare cause compared to more common pathogens like E. coli, Salmonella, Norovirus, and C. difficile.

In recent years, cyclosporiasis has accounted for less than 1% of all reported diarrheal illnesses in the U.S., even during outbreak seasons【CDC surveillance data】.

For example, in 2025, the CDC reported hundreds of confirmed cases, but the total number of all diarrheal illnesses was in the millions.

from the net.

My money is on home grown terrorist groups spraying open produce in supermarkets. It would be easy to do and I’m sure there are many “how to” videos already on the internet and tik tok.

We don’t know what the source is, but we know it’s not workers crapping in the fields.

I thought they already confirmed it came from lettuce, that is why we are staying away from all lettuce til this is resolved. We used to eat Taylor Farms bagged organic mediterranean salad but not til this is fixed

Occam’s Razor: The food was intentionally poisoned in Mexico and brought on a regular shipping route. Most likely by Cartels, Islamic Terrorists or the ChiComs Why?
1. We are at war with the largest state sponsor of terror, we have pretty much stopped all the drugs coming in from Mexico, and the Chinese are pretty pissed off at us all the time.
2. Poisoning the food source of your enemy is a tactic as old as war itself.
3. You ever hear about Cyclospora cayetanensis a day in your entire life?
