In 1965, Ian Smith declared independence from Britain to preserve British civilisation. Fifteen years later, Zimbabwe was born and the collapse began.
In this video, Freya breaks down how one of Africa's most functional states was dismantled, not by military defeat, but by Western liberal idealism that demanded revolution over evolution.
The Zimbabwe that replaced it stands as one of history's most devastating proofs of what happens when politics ignores reality.

A thirty-point-drop in average IQ is not good for any country.
Had friends from there. It also stands as one of history’s proofs of what happens when you don’t put the commies in your nation into the dirt, posthaste. Look what they’ve done to our Republic, so far.
the warning should be that Western Democrats, Liberals and intelligence services planned and enabled the destruction of Rhodesia.
The assassination of civilized Rhodesia—led by Jimmy Carter—was a vile betrayal. Mugabe caused the murder and starvation of untold numbers of “Zimbabweans”—in a country that was once the breadbasket of Africa.
Now desperate, starving “Zimbabwe” is begging white Rhodesian farmers to return. That should only happen in a restored Rhodesia!
Rhodeisia went from the bread basket of Africa to having to import food.
(Monster Mugabe was replaced in 2017 and died in 2019).
Also this excellent FR thread from 2007:
"From Rhodesia to Zimbabwe

And of course, there never was a country named “Zimbabwe”.
The only organized state with an actual written constitution and a functioning legal system on that dirt was called “Rhodesia”.
I amazed it didn’t all work out like Wakanda!
There is a bitter saying: „In former times, you used to go to Rhodesia to see the ruins of Zimbabwe. Nowadays, you go to Zimbabwe to see the ruins of Rhodesia.“
Depressing indeed 😞
I haven’t thought of Joshua Nkomo in at least two decades.
Great video. Thanks for posting. Civilizations can be destroyed.
Well, there was a country called Matabele and Mashonaland, ruled by king La Bengula.
Matabele’s were oppressing the Mashona, so Europeans stepped in to protect the Mashona, who were basically slaves of the Matabele and regularly killed.
In interesting turn, when the Rhodesia became Zimbabwe, the now Nshona turned around, took charge (Mugabe is Nshona) and became eliminating Ndebele. Several massacres followed.
Rhodesia then is what Israel is today to the Left.
