The generative AI chatbot integrated into billionaire Elon Musk's X is under international scrutiny over reports it has been filling the social media platform with sexually explicit images of children and women.
Complaints of abuses began after an "edit image" button was added to Grok just before Christmas.
The button allows users to modify any image on the platform, with some using it to partially or completely remove clothing from people without their consent, according to complaints. Grok maker xAI, which is run by Mr Musk, replied to an ABC request for comment with an automated response: "Legacy Media Lies".

No. Perverts and pedos were using a tool to create images of naked children.
Censors can kiss my butt, if you are gonna complain that AI needs to be regulated to stop people from removing clothes then next comes censorship of photoshop and any other image editing tools.

One question you could ask is this story actually true or is it an AI generated hoax to hurt Grok AI?
I spend entirely too much time on X. I never see nudity or pornography. I do know if I click on a post I will see many more posts on that subject. The point is, if someone is seeing pornography on X it’s probably their fault.
I have my doubts about this. I have Grok and tried to do an aging thing not long ago. A friend of mine and I took a picture of her when she was in HS (17) and asked Grok to age it 25 years to see how well it matched what she looks like today. It wouldn’t do it because it sensed the original picture was of someone under 18. I thought that was pretty impressive that it could discern that. So I doubt it is doing nudes of young women.
You ever used Photoshop?
You need skills and a lot of time to get even remotely close to the quality and likeness a trained AI can generate in a minute.
This easy fake pornography is already destroying lives. But AI is going to be used to fabricate evidence of false crimes in ways photoshop cannot.
This shit needs to be stopped and outlawed.
