They want him to live until his trial. If he’s smart, he’ll chose solitary because he’s a marked man. Even inmates will react to somebody who murders innocent people.
Many of those inmates listen to religious programming and will be angry that one of the programs they listened to is now off the air.
They threw derick chauvez, the cop who arrested floyd, in general pop, and inmates fang neqr murdered him, stabbing him several timea. Then when he redovered, they put him back in general from what i understand. They wanted him murdered.

My daughter knows a gal that spent time in prison. The gal would intentionally get into trouble to be put into solitary. She was in for something not too terrible, and didn’t want to be around the really crazy women.

He’s likely in isolation and under suicide protocols. Rip proof pillow and sheet, a “onesie” type rip proof garment colloquially known as a “bam bam suit”, constant direct or video surveillance. Food in cell. Possibly no utensils and finger foods only. Minimal out of cell time, and in cuffs and leg irons when out, even when being escorted for showers and medical visits. That should be a wake-up for him and where exactly he is: in hell.

Someone with money should offer a “legal defense fee award” for any inmate criminally prosecuted for ass raping the shooter. I think $1000 each would be about right.
