If Bernie was younger he could save the democrat party - even as a self identified socialist. The problem is his basic goodness does NOT extend to people in the power base of the democrat party. The part of 'socialism' they like is the absolute power part - not the 'help the people' part. That's the 'take the suckers' part and the corrupt thugs would go for that.. And AOC is young and lacks the know how to deal with what corrupt democrats would do to her... it feels hopeless.
