Canadians have been left outraged by a telling clue that the United States is edging closer toward making its northern neighbor the 51st state.
Amid repeated warnings from President Trump that he's interested in acquiring Canada as a state of America, Canadians noticed some provincial parks have recently been mislabeled as 'state' parks on Google maps.
Speaking to CTV news, resident Rachel Deren said: 'I would like to draw attention to this disgusting display of American oppression of Canadian culture and autonomy.
'This alarming revelation has stirred many who have noticed, as it is an attack on our Canadian identity.'
Mount Robson Park, Whaleboat Island Marine Provincial Park and Pinecone Burke Provincial Park are among a handful of parks in Canada that go by 'state park' on Google maps.
This is despite being almost exclusively referred to as 'provincial' parks within Canada, while 'state' parks are considered an Americanized term.
'We are proud to be Canadian and will remain so despite attempts like this from our ever increasingly hostile neighbours to the south,' Deren said.
On Reddit, dozens of users have noted the same concerning trend and have set about reporting them as 'errors' to the tech giant.
'It is a big issue,' one user explained.
'Our country is under constant threat from the American administration. His tech minions undermining our sovereignty in small ways is absolutely a big issue. All these things add up. We need to fight back.'
Sensitivities are at an all time high amid Trump's repeated trolling of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about his desire to make Canada a state, insisting it is also the will of the Canadian public and referring to him as a 'governor.'

But I agree with all the Canada people, that they should be a state.
I think it should 10 states and "The Great White North"
Canadians have always had an inferiority complex and an identity crisis.
Canada would be better off as a U.S. territory. They wouldn’t want to the madness of having to vote for people to go to our Congress to represent them. I certainly don’t want them to have that.
maybe should be 10 states and:
"The Great White North"
Canada stopped being a country after the end of WWII.
Back then, you could consider them sort of British. Except for the French living in Quebec.
It seems like there’s not much going on up in Canada.
If the tariffs take down the Trudeau government, it will be worth it. A conservative government will help more at the border and support fair trade deals.
Meanwhile, we should see more companies move operations to US from Canada.
Oh hell. Nailed that.
Wait. If we become the 51st, I can move to anywhere in warm America?
No way!
😂 dip shits. Putine fries? Really?
Our Northern neighbors losing sleep. Proud of them for loving their country. Look at how many idiots here hate America.
How many divisions does Canada have?
Canada should absolutely not be admitted as a state, let alone as multiple states. We’d be throwing the House to the Democrats for a couple of generations.
That might work but the trouble is if it became say a single state it would be somewhat unwieldy. It would be the biggest by far in area (larger than all 50 of the current states) and just edge out California as the most populous.
No one sane in the USA REALLY wants Canada to become a State, (or States) of the USA. The people who are talking about it are just trolling. As if the US needs another 30 million leftists in it..... And 25 % of them French speakers to boot.
By the end of World War II in 1945, Canada had approximately 1.1 million men and women serving in the armed forces. This included the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Navy, and Royal Canadian Air Force. Given Canada's population of about 12 million at the time, this was a significant contribution to the war effort.
current population is 41 million not 30
What about today though?
I love DJT but I disagree with his jokes about a 51st state. Canadians should know that sometimes Trump says foolish things and that Canada will never be our 51st state.
That was when they were British, now they have fewer enlistments than Texas, (if I’m remembering my findings from about 10 or 12 years ago).
92,000 total.
Take Canada, deport the Canadians.
