Reminds me of the scene in “Schindler’s List” where Schindler is at the train station where Jews are being put on trains. He tells the Nazi in charge that he must find Isaac Stern. The Nazi says it’s impossible to find him. And even if you did, the paperwork has been signed. Cannot be changed. The man is lost. No way to get him off the train.
