A fit and healthy teenage boy suddenly died during wrestling practice after suffering a medical emergency.
Freddy Espinal, a 17-year-old aspiring police officer, tragically died on Sunday, prompting an outpouring of grief from his tightknit Massachusetts community.
More than 100 friends and students from Peabody gathered on Tuesday night to farewell the popular, charismatic student.
His girlfriend, Gisella Candido, told the crowd at the vigil that Freddie 'was stubborn, caring, [and] would always go out of his way to make sure that people were OK.'
'At first, it was unbelievable. I was just with him on Friday. Like, I just saw him. I was just hugging him, holding him and then, like, just like that, it's like, he's gone.'
District Attorney Paul Tucker worked with Espinal over the summer after meeting with the teenager and his dad 'to talk about his interest in becoming a police officer someday.'
At the time, he described Espinal as a 'respectful, polite and personable young man who will follow his dream and succeed.'
On Tuesday, he issued a moving tribute, noting 'life sometimes presents unimaginable tragedies, and this being one hurts so many to the core.
'Freddy’s life was cut short by a medical emergency while at wrestling practice.
'His close knit family, friends and classmates are left in grief wondering why.

I hear you. My nephew missed the rest of his senior year matches from being concussed during a bout. He won the bout but when he came over to talk with me he told me his vision was blurred. Off we go to the ER for most of the night.
I’ve just been advised by my medical care providers (by phone) to get the flu shot and the covid shot.
Yes to the flu shot, no to the covid shot!
I survived a bout of covid relatively early in the pandemic, and had several covid vaccinations since with only one-day adverse effects. I probably have more immunity than the covid “experts” want to admit.
And I do not know at all if the deaths of young athletes have anything to do with covid or its vaccines! Fortunately, these deaths are rare, and it’s very hard to draw any conclusions about them.
Er, I don’t think he was actually healthy since he dropped dead.
It’s not even wrestling season yet. It was probably an open mat or a clinic or a camp. That’s why I doubt it had anything to do with dehydration or over exertion. That kind of stuff happens in November-March.
Fit and healthy...except for that death part.

If anything children and todlers suffering heart attacks and strokes have gone down. Do some research before blaming everything on the vaccines.
Most likely, the idiot HS coach(s) pushed the kid to train like a “pro”, playing on his enthusiasm for this sport. With devastating consequences…
Yes to the flu shot?
There are lots of reports they are putting mRNA in flu shots too.
The gene therapy doesn’t guarantee you will die, it only increases your odds of dying sooner than your statistical life expectancy.
There’s no mRNA in flu shots yet.
And I have the ability to check out exactly what we will be getting!
Hopefully, Trump/Vance/Kennedy will get into office, and check out the efficacy ands safety of all mRNA vaccines!
