Scientists in Michigan and Texas have helped put a Florida nurse behind bars after she inflicted an excruciating death on three of her neighbor's pets with her 'special seasoning'.
Tamesha Knighten, 51, was arrested after a five-month investigation which began when two cats named Luna and Pancake died within minutes of each other at their home in Lakeland.
Four hours later the devastated family found their four-year-old Chihuahua Daisy dead along with the eight puppies she was carrying.
Police saw Knighten on security footage putting out a bowl of chicken in her yard and seized it for analysis.
'When we asked will we find any substance in this chicken she said 'well just my special seasoning',' Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told a press conference.
'Well her special seasoning was Phorate.'
'The children and all the victims of the family are devastated because on August 16 all three of these died, and they died because they were poisoned.'
The family said Knighten had previously threatened the pets after they strayed into her yard and they saw her pacing the driveway on the day of their deaths.
When one of the cats began froth at the mouth, she suggested it must be 'choking on a frog'.
Police arrived in time to see the final death throes of one of the cats unable to breathe, foaming from the mouth, and in obvious significant pain.
'We saw that one of them was in horrific distress, others had already died,' Sheriff Judd said.
'The one that was in horrific distress died immediately.'
They found a Styrofoam bowl in Knighten's yard filled with canned chicken and a dark colored substance.
She denied owning Styrofoam bowls or canned chicken but told police 'Oh, I guess I do have them', when they found more in her pantry.

Can’t we just call it an abortion and have the Left celebrate it?
But killing babies by crushing their skulls and sucking them out of the womb....is a good thing.....and every woman’s right....according to Hillary.
I’d like to fry up some chicken for Tamesha.
I’ll use my “special seasoning”.

Wonder what her employment record looked like...
If the act itself doesn’t give it away, the name does...
Crazy Entitled Black Women again...

Good Neighbor Tamesha Knighten!
I have pity for those animals who suffered as they dief, but I do not have any pity for the pet owners who allowed there animals to invade this woman’s yard over and over after being asked not to. If it’s too much trouble to walk the dog to avpark or just clean up the waste in your own yard, that is not the pet for you at this given tome, or at this particular residence.
I was guilty of that same owner arrogance years ago, until I was confronted about it after I moved and left a nasty dog mess in the property owner’s back yard. I was embarrassed and I learned not to do that anymore.
The Amish sure use weird names lately.
I guess the neighbors should have kept their pets off her property.
I wonder how many times they were told to.
If I give my cat leftovers, which I almost never do, I make sure it has no seasoning whatsoever. Garlic, onions and other seasonings can be bad for cats.
Phorate. How on earth does a nurse get hold of a powerful pesticide? Assuming it wasn’t an ingredient in some otc.
I can’t help wondering just how intrusive the pets were. Crapping on her lawn? Just walking across? Dog barking constantly? None of the above? Killing peoples pets is pretty extreme. I wonder what motivated her to do it.
A very mean and nasty way to deal with it.
Blacks need to integrate into a peaceful society. They tend to gravitate toward violence and death for whatever reason.
When I buy treats for my neighbors’ cat I keep the bags unopened for a few weeks in case of any recalls.
That’s a man, baby!
At least, with this one, the pronunciation seems straight-forward, assuming it is Tah-Me-Shaw. That can be a heroic assumption because sometimes the pronunciation of the name doesn't seem to have any connection to the spelling.
It needs to be run through the ebonics gronificator
Not the right way to handle the problem for sure. If the neighbor had kept their pets off her property it would have never happened. Control your pets or else you might run into a neighbor like this.
so the woman put the poisoned food out IN HER OWN YARD? If it was HER yard, I don’t see the issue.
