Because the thesis - that the poor Persians are just waiting for the US to provide them with regime change AND that this is something that can be done with our existing resources AND that the resulting state will be better FOR THE UNITED STATES than what exists now is almost certainly false. Wow. I don’t have the time to correct all that’s wrong with that. If you keep looking at it as “regime change” instead of killing our enemy - the people who are still injuring & killing Americans - then it will never stop. Get the “regime change” meme out of your head.
