To: Harmless Teddy Bear

Our pastor told us that Judeo-Christian religions are the only ones that say the soul/spirit is there at conception. I looked up a bunch of the others and they all have different arrival times of the soul after conception (muslim, buddhist, hindu).

IIRC there are 2 or 3 various times with muslims depending on the sect. And I am probably wrong about the 30 days too.

Even in Christianity there was a lot of different ideas about when the "soul" arrived. A lot of them held that it was at the quickening, when the mother could feel the baby move that the soul arrived. That was eventually put aside in favor of life = soul.
