That’s the Wahhabist movement. It wasn’t always like that. There are other prevailing views in Islam. Iran does not follow the Wahhabist movement in Saudi Arabia because they’re Shi’ite.

And both of them have been killing each other for the last 1,000 years because they quibble over incredibly minute points of islam. The Sunnis and the Shia have been at each other’s throats each accusing the others of being apostates for 1,100 years.
Face it. No “reform” of islam is possible. It never will be. The only option we have is to stamp it out. We are going to have to at some point.
