If you are flying Emirates from Istanbul (SAW) to JFK you would have a stopover in Dubai. Dubai is the hub for Emirates.

You don’t understand islam. According to mohamed himself no “reform” of it is possible nor is it needed. It’s perfect just the way it is. Merely to suggest it makes you an apostate worthy of death. It says so right in their book.

That’s the Wahhabist movement. It wasn’t always like that. There are other prevailing views in Islam. Iran does not follow the Wahhabist movement in Saudi Arabia because they’re Shi’ite.
If you are white, black, brown, yellow, purple, green or any other color Dubai specifically and the ME in general are good places to stay the hell away from. The people there are less sane than the insane ones here. There were places around the world that I stayed away from and places when forced to layover I found a seat and sat there as quietly as possible until it was time to go and I did all I could to never exit the secure area or customs controlled area to avoid re-entering.

And both of them have been killing each other for the last 1,000 years because they quibble over incredibly minute points of islam. The Sunnis and the Shia have been at each other’s throats each accusing the others of being apostates for 1,100 years.
Face it. No “reform” of islam is possible. It never will be. The only option we have is to stamp it out. We are going to have to at some point.

Too quickly is definitely risky. Islam has almost progressed into the 8th century now and that’s got a lot of muslims in a rage.
