General Hospital star Billy Miller has died at the age of 43.

The soap opera actor and three-time Daytime Emmy winner, who also starred on The Young and the Restless, died on Friday, as reported by soap opera journalist Michael Fairman.

A cause of death has not yet been revealed. The actor's death came just two days prior to this 44th birthday.

His death was confirmed by someone at The Belmont, a restaurant and bar in Los Angeles, California that Miller co-owned, according to Fairman.

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Miller.

Oklahoma-born Miller worked in the mailroom at Industry Entertainment before being signed as a model to Wilhelmina.

He had graduated with a communications degree at the University of Texas before moving to Los Angeles.

He got his start in the entertainment industry after landing a role on the popular soap opera All My Children, playing Richie Novak.

He then joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in 2008, playing the fourth iteration of Billy Abbott

He was the best ‘Billy’. He had such great sexual chemistry with his leading ladies. I really dislike Jason Thomson in the role. When I see him I only think of ‘Patrick Drake.” There’s nothing appealing about him.

Yeah, for as long as Jason Thompson has been in the role, he just hasn’t quite been up to snuff. He was fine on GH. He almost always seems perpetually angry. He also rather looks more like he should be Victor Newman’s son ! Another slightly grating thing is his rather prominent Canadian accent, which is peculiar given his Wisconsin character.

Some of the best scenes on Y&R in the past 15 years was the interplay between Billy Miller’s Billy Abbott and Michael Muhney’s Adam Newman, after the latter accidentally struck and killed young Delia Abbott.

Agree. I liked Michael as ‘Adam’, but my favorite was the first, Chris Engen.

The present guy, Mark Grossman, is OK. However, I think they have infantilized the character terribly.
