ESPN national baseball reporter Marly Rivera has been fired after an incident at Yankee Stadium in which she uttered the words, “X X” toward a fellow female reporter over an Aaron Judge interview, The Post has learned.

“There were extenuating circumstances but that in no way is an excuse for my actions. I am a professional with a sterling reputation across baseball and I do believe that I am being singled out by a group of individuals with whom I have a long history of professional disagreements.” Gaete is the wife of MLB vice president of communications, John Blundell.

Rivera said that she and Blundell have had disagreements over the years, which, in her view, is why this incident blew up and resulted in her firing.

Thanks Nick. See my response below.
There is a woman who broadcasts for the Yankees named Suzyn Waldman. I’m not sure how entertaining she is, but she knows more about baseball than anyone I’ve ever heard.
She'll do it again, like the trailer trash bimbo that she is.
And the other reporters will know to keep their mouths shut while she's jackbooting them in the face.
Rivera has massiver seniority over Gaete, anbd was treated like sh*t by her. If her words hadn't beeb caught on air no one would care. Don't they have 7-second bleepout techy or something? I feel bad for Rivera, as her epithet was accurate.
I think that someone misheard her. In actual fact, she said, "Hex-hex." (Must be a "Bibbi Blocksberg" children's show fan!)
My first impulse was to assume that "XX" refers to her sex chromosomes.
Sad and frustrating that the article NOWHERE explains the true meaning!
Regards,
Or, as Vin Scully might have called it, a "blinkin' female orifice"

In the Post article, past the infernal pop ups is this quote, “ During the heat of the disagreement, Rivera said the words, “f–king c–t,” which were caught on video.
After the recording of the incident, Rivera tried to apologize, but was rebuffed by Gaete.
“I fully accept responsibility for what I said, which I should not have,” Rivera told The Post”.
Were the cats in the fight declawed?
Hexe is witch in German.
Two X chromosomes, what’s wrong with that?
“So . . . she said “X X”? What does that even mean?”
No idea but when we were teens and heard a movie was rated XX, we wanted to see it. :)
Work for evil...
Die by evil...
Gaete is actually more powerful of the two
Via insemination
Makes more sense than the X X nonsense
This whole thread, including the comments, is barely decipherable.
Please stop using “ I could care less”. It means literally you really don’t know how much you don’t care, and makes you sound ignorant and lazy. Beauty is skin deep. Stupid and ignorant goes clear to the bone. Before you get ignorantly defensive. GFYS
I agree- I can’t tell who did what to who by the comments here
Barbara Bach was XXX in The Spy Who Loved Me.
A movie I like to see every so often.
The only female sports reporter I ever thought did a good job was Michelle Montoya. You could just always tell she was different. She seemed knowledgeable and very down to Earth and had common sense. And now we know why: She’s a conservative. Love watching her on Gutfeld (at least I did, before I quit watching anything on Fox). She seems very genuine and she just says what she thinks.
Oh good grief. FR needs an edit function, if only so that I can correct my stupidity. Of course I meant Michelle Tafoya, not Montoya. Early in the morning and the old brain is not up to full speed.
