A man was handcuffed and interrogated inside his own hotel room for roughly an hour after law enforcement agents went to the wrong room during a training exercise.
FBI and DOD agents knocked on the room occupied by a man - a Delta Air Lines pilot according to WBZ - in the middle of the night and burst in, holding the man in cuffs for 45 minutes before they realized their mistake.
The mishap occurred just after midnight on Wednesday on the 15th floor of Boston's Revere Hotel.
An FBI official told DailyMail.com their agents were assisting in a DOD mock investigation to 'simulate a situation their personnel might encounter in a deployed environment.'
he unidentified pilot who was a guest at the hotel was sleeping inside his room when the agents arrived.
The man - who is said to be in his 30s - woke up and opened the door.
After he opened the door, the group barged in and began a nightmare interrogation scenario.
The agents handcuffed him and placed him in the shower.
The pilot was handcuffed for more than 45 minutes until the agents realized their mistake, took the cuffs off, and apologized to him.
Hotel security was told about the incident and Boston police was contacted.

OMG! Too funny and sad at the same time. Keystone cops.
File criminal charges against all of them.
L
I said room fi fo fo, not fi fo fi.
This is just another of the many reasons to defund and shutter the FBI.
Were guns drawn out?
Maybe he faked his vaccination card?
All will be promoted in the near future.
Major lawsuit time!!!!!!! If our FBI and DOJ are that incompetent they deserve to be SUED!!!!
The agents apologized. So, you know, no problem. “Mistakes were made.” Let Bygones be bygones.
Guessing those agents got an “F” on their training exercise.
What a travesty, one disgusting move after another in that lost town.
Not a mistake.
“The agents handcuffed him and placed him in the shower.”
I can’t wait to hear the FBI’s rationale for this.
Good thing the new homo recruits didn’t rape him (as far as we know).
“I didn’t do it” no longer counts.
Apologized, Bullchips. Personally I would like to beat the hell out of each agent then I would consider an apology.
Did they remove fingernails?
Seriously, it took them way too long to realize they had the wrong guy.
Hmm. Their “exercise” could also be a handy excuse for a warrentless search and interrogation.
Let’s say they DID hit the right room and they started in on the guy only to realize there was no warrant. So they say “Ooopsie! This was just a training exercise and not an actual violation of your civil rights.”
As if that makes it all better.
Also, I’d rather it be something like this than to find out they really did conduct this exercise in a hotel populated with innocent people.
