Christie is not going to be a happening thing when it comes to the 2024 Presidential election. The only reason he is currently being given a voice and any media support is because he criticizes Trump and can therefore be considered a reliable and “principled” Republican who will fold at the first sign of a challenge by the left or their media mouth-pieces.
Christie was hoping for the VP spot, or another political career-advancing position when Trump was won the nomination in 2016, so he switched his allegiance to Trump, only to switch it back when he thought the wind was blowing the other way. As always, he chose poorly and continues to do so to this day. Much like Romney, Christie is a media hound and will say what the left requires to make those Sunday news-show rounds when they need a Republican to criticize Trump.
