Marijuana has many negative effects that users of it deny religiously. One of them is that it’s very addictive.
In my youth I drove just once while high on marijuana.
I thought it was a 7.0 earthquake the way the road kept weaving side to side and up and down.
If anyone claims driving while high is safe they are lying.
Lol
No it is not
Casual use that is impossible
My last girlfriend became chemically dependent on Diet Coke. So what’s your point? Anything can become addicted if you’re pumping it into your body 24 seven
And it is still a gateway drug.
Totally agree with you and I know it’s true from experience.
Most chronic marijuana users lack ambition and drive. Most never accomplish much and life just passes them by without their complete participation.
Judging fr this thread-I would guess the following-
weed is addictive and has terrible withdrawal symptoms-
yet users frequently take tolerance breaks which wouldn’t happen if it was addictive and caused terrible withdrawal.
weed is expensive-weed has never been cheaper in inflation adjusted dollars.
weed causes tons of traffic fatalities-states that have legalized it have seen little to no change.
bright successful people don’t use weed. Smart folks don’t believe in God too. But they do use weed and plenty of bright successful people believe in God too.
I understand the need to make oneself feel good that leads to posting complete nonsense. Some use weed, some use booze, others just make stuff up and post it on the internet.
How ever I must respectfully disagree with you on this one. Yes marijuana does have negative effects. No substance is with out them.
Marijuana does how ever have some positive medicinal uses. Alcohol does not. As to being addictive, in the psychical sense, no it is not. Alcohol is far more damaging. I know. It damned near killed me. But that was 33 years ago. marijuana though, well I did have many, many pleasant experiences with it back in the day.
Is desire addictive? Some say yes. A long time ago, I got high whenever I could for a year or two. I tried to go to college, flunked out (guess why?) and moved back with my family who had moved from Virginia to Georgia. I found myself away from the place where my pot toking friends were. It just wasn't the same. Without the cultural influence I had no desire. I got a job, got married, enlisted in the USAF and never looked back.
Marijuana is not addictive. The greatest negative effect is that it destroys ambition and achievement.
Full disclosure: I told the USAF Human Reliability Program Lieutenant everything about my participation in the "drug counter culture" and she told me the lie to tell anyone that asked, that I tried Marijuana a couple of times but didn't like it. I had no trouble passing my Top Secret Security Clearance.
Try to stop telling the story that Marijuana is addictive. It is likely that it is only the culture and lotus eater aspect of the lifestyle that leaves individuals in a repetitive rut.
