A woman on TikTok claimed that her parents made a typo on her birth certificate, and she didn’t find out about the mistake until she was 15 years old.
Gabby Mayor, who goes by the username @gabbbbb16 on the social media platform, shared more about the mishap in a video that has already reached over two million views. In the five-second clip, she sat in a pair of pajamas as she stared off into space, with music playing in the background that featured the echo of different voices.
“Thinking about how my parents made a typo on my birth certificate and I didn’t find out until age 15 that my real name is actually Babrielle,” she wrote in white text in the video, a misspelling of the name “Gabrielle.”

This count as news?
I’m willing to bet her parents didn’t type her birth certificate.
Parents don’t make typos on birth certificates.
LOL! When a baby was born 15 years ago, hospital personnel wheeled in an old Selectric and a blank Birth Certificate so Dad could type one up.
Hospitals need to hire better typists.
Get ready to extend some sympathy....
It’s your birthday and it’s time you knew....

Look forward to the next story in the series where she either sues or kills her parents.
And this matters how???????
Just another boring regular person trying to get publicity for doing nothing. Great post.
They “assigned” her the wrong gender?
It’s even worse...On her birthday, her parents told her they had her a grey and white kitten...
The kitten was actually white and grey...
Well, it is in “Smokey Backroom”. Were you expecting something non-smokey?
stupid story, but a friend of mine named “Bill” used to have a fun time with people because his official name was Wm.
His birthcertificate abbreviated his name to the max - Wm.
Definitely would have caused her voting to be tossed out.
Well when I was born the Doctors changed the date from 4/1 to 4/2. Saved me from being born on April Fools day. Might have ended up a DemoCRAT/s
“My Parents Made a Typo on my Birth Certificate — I Didn’t Know For Years”
I’m old enough to remember when doctors could tell boys from girls.
My mother-in-law had a similar issue on her birth certificate. She managed to live a full and good life with absolutely no drama attached to the error.
Oprah (Orpah) Winfrey comes to mind.
Well, just have your name legally changed or let it be and use the BC name for official purposes and the name you are used to for everything else.
Not Orca?
;)
