A Mississippi woman who married a man 61 years her senior says she’s ready to start a family with her new husband — despite the fact he’s a decade older than her own grandpa. Miracle Pogue, 24, met hubby Charles, 85, while working at a laundromat in Starkville in 2019, with the pair forming a friendship that turned romantic a year later.

Miracle told Kennedy News of the moment she learned about her husband’s advanced age, saying: “I found out in conversation when we asked each other our date of birth and he said he was born in 1937.”
“I never even placed his age, we just wanted to see how it went. I don’t care if he’s 100 or 55, I like him for him. I thought he was maybe 60 or 70 because he looks so good,” she added. “He’s always up and active.”

One of my great-aunts was born on the day that Jefferson Davis died in 1889. She died in December 1976.
Heck no. But I lived there three months. My point is clear and appreciated by majority of Americans.
I’ve wondered about this situation in the past...
If a man on SS biologically fathered a child with a woman, (married or not) would the child be eligible for SS payments and survivor benefits until it became adults?
It seems like that would be common if true.
Ewwww.
A first cousin of my father died in 2000. As a child she lived for several years with her grandfather, the one born in 1835. I met her several times but didn't think to ask her to tell me about her grandfather.
A number of years ago I heard a talk by a man who was then 97. His father had ridden with Nathan Bedford Forrest in the Civil War and then as an old man married a much younger woman.
It must be mesmerizing to think about those long spans of time, and the few family members of yours that covered all of them?
Randy old men did that. JK!
Will they have grandkids?
You know what they always say. 🤗🤪😆😁 I wonder if any other old geezers are secretly wishing they could do the same? 😜🙃😝🤭
It definitely has its place! Older fellers marrying blushing young brides. Gives us all plenty to talk about, particularly when it turns out that the begat still works as designed.
When was your father born?
What’s his net worth is what I want to know.
Any idea how many $$$ he]s worth?
Well, whatever floats their boat!
Probably quite a bit. This is exhibit A as evidence for the idea that for a lot of women marriage is simply a personal business decision and literally nothing more.
I keep thinking of Anna Nicole Smith and the marriage J Marshall Howard. He died at age 90.
They'd make a movie out of it and call it "Harold and Maude".
So much trouble in the world these days.
If two people are adults, I leave their life choices to them.
