A new cold case investigation has been opened into the long unsolved murder of child beauty pageant star JonBenet Ramsey.
Police in Colorado hope that new forensic techniques could finally solve the murder of the six-year-old girl found dead in the basement of her family home in Boulder almost three decades ago.
Her body was found beaten and strangled on Boxing Day in 1996, hours after her parents, John and Patsy, reported her missing and a ransom note was found in the house.
Her death has been ruled as a homicide, though nobody has ever been charged over her murder.
Boulder Police Department says it will being consulting with the Colorado Cold Case Review Team - comprised of forensic experts across the state - to look into the 26-year-old case next year.

What...and prove the police were incompetent?? No I don’t think the parent’s did it...but it was certainly someone they knew.
It was the housekeeper and her husband. No doubt in my mind at all.

Supposedly they have a very minute DNA sample that was taken from JonBenet’s body when the crime was committed.
DNA testing back then was capable of testing it, so it’s sat in evidence since.
Today the DNA testing technology is light years ahead of back then, plus you can produce an image likeness from the DNA sample and you can do Ancestry DNA searching you couldn’t do back then.
I think there is a good chance they can solve the crime if the DNA is sampled correctly.
I should say the DNA testing back then was INCAPABLE of testing the sample
It is possible that some key piece evidence was overlooked. It is such an odd case.
One of the facts that struck me as very odd was how the parents renovated the basement, where she was found, in the middle of the case. If I were the parent and innocent, my basement renovation can wait until the police are satisfied with the evidence collected.
She was 6 years old, and Biden does like them that young.

I figured it was the Mom. And the Mom passed away from cancer. The Mom went through cycles of clarity to ultra sick and back to clarity then back to ultra sick. The little girl was perfect when the mom was perfect, and the girl was ultra messed up
When the Mom was ultra sick. The Mom probably killed the kid, and the husband covered it up.
If something horrible like that happened in my house, I would want to move rather than live someplace that has bad associations. I sure would not make redecorating the crime-scene room a priority. I think I would want to get out ASAP and never see that house again. I think my reaction is more or less how normal people would react.

I don’t know how long it takes to do the DNA testing, let’s say it takes 2 months, depending if they can find a match, I would think 6 months or so before something happens, say May-June of next year, hopefully sooner.
