This may be a record ?
I fell for it, hook line and sinker!
A lot of Brits would fully agree with that headline.
Vai hahare, buhaiolo
As Steve Harvey told Jerry over coffee, discussing how comedians look at the world differently, when something (bad) happens, you know, withing a day or two, we have the jokes. We can’t tell them yet, we’d be massacre’d. But we have the jokes.
I fell for it, hook line and sinker!
A lot of Brits would fully agree with that headline.

Actually, 85% of Brits support the monarchy. Only the sick lefties oppose it...just like here, except we have the libertarian buffoons also.
Nope.
The Queen is one of the richest women in the world. Has been for a very long time.
“Only the sick lefties oppose it...just like here”
So, George Washington was a lefty, huh? They tried to make him a king and he refuse.
Most people don’t know:
Sovereign Grant
In 1760, King George III cut a deal with parliament to hand over the Crown Estate — a large portfolio of land and property now worth $15 billion, which includes most of the U.K.’s seabed, Regent Street in London and Buckingham Palace – to the Treasury. As part of this deal, the Monarch is entitled to a share of the profits of the Crown Estate. The Queen now receives the Sovereign Grant from the Treasury, which consists of 15% of the profits from the Crown Estate. Last financial year she received $61 million, which goes to paying for royal travel, investitures, garden parties and the upkeep of official residences like Buckingham Palace.
“A lot of Brits would fully agree with that headline.”
Most Brits support the royalty.
“Actually, 85% of Brits support the monarchy. “
I am not sure about 85% but I would agree it is probably very close to that.
I have been to London a few times, and had to go to Cambridge for some important thing once.
I tried to talk to as many people as I could about stuff.
Most supported the monarchy as you say, while at the same time saying that they wished the church and the monarchy did not most of the land.
There is a lot to be said for stability in Govt, even if it is only an illusion.
Me too,
Hopeing to see the Bag lady -—Cankles.
Believe she inherited much of what she had. Maybe going back to when William took it in 1066. Not sure thats the dole.
Or perhaps “Mad” Maxine Waters.
She’s been awfully quiet here lately.
I guess without Trump to point and shriek at, she falls silent.
Agreed. It’s commonly accepted that the tourism value of the monarchy exceeds its costs. Her kids and late former daughter in law are/were a bunch of insufferable twits, but I honor this woman’s unwavering devotion to God and her Country.
I never knew that’s how the agreement had been constructed. Ill bet those negotiations took a long time to conclude. Probably far longer than Brexit.
Nope.
The Queen is one of the richest women in the world. Has been for a very long time.

Maybe you should know your history.
How much does she get to take with her?
the “royal” family are in their position for no good rationale or understandable reason.
What an A-hole to post something like this.
