I agree with you absolutely. Since it IS part opf the Constitution, the states are and should be limited.

Yes,if I’m fit to drive in all 50 states (and DC...and Puerto Rico...) then I’m fit to posses a firearm in all 50 states. After all,Ted Kennedy’s Oldsmobile killed more people than my gun.

"Now is the time for National Reciprocity?"

With a Democratic Congress and Biden, it would never pass.

It is time to strike down EVERY gun law. No background checks - it makes law abiding citizens ask for permission to purchase the gun. It is one of the same principles of today's ruling. Understand, background checks are also a backdoor registration. The State Police in PA do exactly that. Law enforcement elsewhere go directly to gun dealers to obtian 4473's. The federal government keeps their copy, but doesn't enter into a database. Yeah, like I trust the government never to put them into a database for the purpose of gun confiscation.

The 2nd Amendment also means that citizens have the ability to protect themselves from tyranny. That was one of the original gun uses of our founders.

The only people that should not be allowed to purchase and use weapons are those rightly denied their rights through due process because they broke the law - they should be rotting in prison. Otherwise, everyone should have full rights to function in society.

Well, the court has ruled that the 14th and 2nd amendment allow the right to bear arms. Guess we need them to further state that this are citizen rights not bound or restricted by state, county, or city borders.

Now is the time for National Reciprocity?

Still a state matter. This doesn't change it.

Reciprocity may not be a good idea. FedGuv takes over even a little bit, then the monster bides its time, taking incremental steps to further stick its nose in, and, when the framework of “feds know best” is baked in, they pounce and say they are revoking everything that has to do with the 2nd Amendment because of some “crisis” and the fact that they are in control of the levers of federal power at that time. Instead, return the 2nd Amendment to a first-class right that no state can infringe upon in every manner possible. Then, reciprocity will take care of itself among the several States. The problem is that there is currently too much leeway among the States to regulate. When in the future there is basically no light between the states, then reciprocity will be de facto.

It is long overdue. If I’m legal to protect my own life and the lives of others in my home state. Why should I have to become a defenseless victim when I travel ?

that should have been something we got in exchange for the things the gang of 10 agreed to. Interestingly it appears law-abiding citizen did all the giving up and got nothing in that unconstitutional bill.

Since they’re determined to let criminals out of jail and take away law enforcement...Hell yeh. Probably needs to be mandatory.
