This is so dumb, even from an authoritarian nanny-state perspective.
They’re not making cigarettes “nonaddictive”; they’re just increasing the number of cigarettes you have to smoke to get the same amount of nicotine. And that will give smokers more tar and other carcinogens.
So we’ll get more lung cancer and other smoking-related diseases.
Yep. That just hit me. It’s a smart idea if you want to kill more people and collect more money in the mean time.
