A surgeon in India will attempt to transplant a womb into a trans woman who was born a man — with the view to making them pregnant.
The risky procedure will involve taking the reproductive organs from a dead donor or a patient who has transitioned the other way and had theirs removed.
There has only been one documented case of a womb being inserted into a trans woman in the past — but she died from complications just months later.
Impregnating a trans woman would be an even bigger feat, and would require the use of IVF and a C-section, because they do not have a functioning vagina.
Dr Narendra Kaushik, who runs a gender reassignment clinic in New Delhi, has said he is 'very, very optimistic' he can make a success of the procedure.
'Every transgender woman wants to be as female as possible — and that includes being a mother,' he is quoted as saying in The Mirror.
'The way towards this is with a uterine transplant, the same as a kidney or any other transplant. This is the future. We cannot predict exactly when this will happen but it will happen very soon.'
The surgeon has not revealed the recipient or given a timetable for the surgery
Dr Kshuik's clinic, Olmec, is at the centre of a booming industry in New Delhi that is seeing the city rival Bangkok as the sex change capital of the world.
He said around a fifth of his customers are from abroad, with many flying from the UK, where the pioneering procedure is free on the NHS but subject to waiting times.
'Many of our patients tell us that their sexual partners don't even notice that they weren't born with female sex organs,' Dr Kaushik told the paper

Is necessity the mother of invention?
The complication being this batsh*t insane procedure itself. May every single one fail similarly.
LOL
Good. Continue to mutilate them. I certainly don’t care.
This is like sewing an arm onto the side of someone’s head and expecting it to play a piano concerto.
I’m sure that will work out fine after the baby is delivered through the man’s asshole and the man dies of septicemia. Or they create a birth canal and the man dies delivering the baby because the birth canal is not sufficient to delivery the baby. Or they have to perform surgery to remove the baby and the man dies during surgery. And who will breastfeed the baby? Better an incubator baby than being born this way.
And in about 10 years they’ll be “trans-ing” people into monkeys, pigs, rodents.
No I’m not kidding.
this doctor cannot find anyone else that needs his help??
What a gloryhound.
What could go wrong? Now the trans individual not only needs life long hormone supplements and daily dildo sessions they need drugs to prevent rejection of the transplant.
Their bodies will not produce the hormones to regulate uterine changes during pregnancy, doctors will have to guess. Will they produce normal placentas? What a naked example of greed for $ & fame with no regard for the patient.
Unnatural and dangerous. An abomination. Women’s bodies are designed for gestation, but to just sew on a womb and expect a man’s body to act similarly is insane.
A degenerate is still a degenerate no matter how many surgeries.
This is simply insanity… I do hope it fails every time it’s tried. What a manifestly stupid idea. Think of the anti-rejection drugs and what any child produced in such a uterus would have as a reaction.
Pregnancy is a complex process involving an array of hormonal changes, changes in soft tissues, changes in every part of a woman’s body, followed after pregnancy by restructuring. I don’t think just adding one foreign part of the apparatus is going to succeed, but why in the world would anybody want to do that, except that it’s just evil?
It wasn’t funny then....
Might as well have a headline that reads, "Indian surgeon to build time machine and kill Hitler."
Ah, so there is symbiotic organ market to motivate the mutilation industry.
Who are these "doctors", ones who got bored with baby-killing?
"Family planning", because degeneracy is never satiated.
