LOL! Reminds me of a scene I witnessed at my Harley dealership one time. A gentleman had bought himself a nice new Sportster and had three near misses with the curbs and other traffic leaving the parking lot. The salesman said it's not his business whether or not the customer can ride / drive.

It’s not my fault man. I think I tried that as a young driver, age 17, also. Not the inexperience with a shift excuse though. Just the not my fault excuse. It didn’t work for me either. 🙂

Everything is being dumbed down, including the vehicles we drive. I ride an Indian. I can’t imagine riding a bike with an automatic tranny. Boring.

Now that I don’t have to spend most of my time in city traffic, I would enjoy a car with a stick again.

A 50-year-old man who can’t drive a stick. This makes me feel old. When I was young if you didn’t learn to drive a stick your options were limited. I took my driver’s test with one.

In my mg you could upshift and downshift all day and never use the brakes. But you really have to know what you are doing. motorcycle and truck not so much.

I’ve never owned an automatic.

My first car was a new 1980 Chevette with a stick. Every car I’ve owned since then has been a stick. Presently driving a 2002 WRX wagon (5 spd), a 2003 C-Class coupe (6 spd) and a 2007 S4 convertible (6 spd).

I just don’t much like the cars they are making these days.

stick shifts do seem to be dying out in the US. 80% of the cars sold in Europe are stick shifts however. They are also very common around the world.

I’ve never owned an automatic. The car I just bought in January is a stick. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
