Read the actuary trade journals. They have been on this for over a year. It looks like pretty dull reading until you understand what they are talking about. Then it starts to look like a dystopian science fiction novel.
The insurance companies have the evidence. It is their business to watch these things very carefully. They are not into losing money for political correctness.
Look at the "All-Cause" mortality rates of the last three years for some extremely strong correlations in the US 16-49 age group.
Look at the official statistics from the United Kingdom for some very ugly trends in the last year.
