Like Musk or not, the fact is many of the demons that work at Twitter are really upset by this. They are mad and that’s awesome.
The left is going to hate him almost as much as they hate Trump.
Please Elon. Start flushing the toilet like a madman and don’t stop until the last bit is incinerated. Just like you kill a Russian tank. Keep getting some until the turret pops off in a glorious explosion.
Probably doesn't even have a key to his office yet.......Folks here are funny. LOL!
> I am just lazy and appreciate the commute time I save.
My entire team is remote, I’m the only person in town and it’s a 30 minute drive (admittedly scenic and pleasant when the traffic is light). Why should I have to give an extra hour per day and attendant flexibility just to show up at the office for friggin’ teleconf? I told the CEO in person face-to-face I’d been remote at 90% of jobs since at least since the 70’s. I told him I was pretty familiar with how to be productive that way, and I would be happy to share some tips for the benefit of the enterprise. But these guys can’t even write SOP docs without it turning into bureaucratic gobble-gobble.
Bottom of the line, I’m working from my home office, with occasional half days, e.g. when I need some office supplies or equipment repair or a password change (aaaaugh, why can’t anyone integrate SSO right?).
> near the Twitter building in SF; it had an excellent food court (poke bowls, etc).
you mean the building on Market? I didn’t know the food court was open to the public. I’ve been there a few time for MeetUp groups, I had to get buzzed in every time. I see one of my Twitter visitor badges stuck to my bookcase in front of me...The food was good. Meetup organizers usually just get pizza, however in the last event I attended at Twitter, the Twitter devs managed to get food from in-house, not just pizza but tasty tapas and sushi appetizers and wine and beer. Afterwards we all went as a group over to 21st Amendment Brewery in South Park and subsequently I had to pour myself onto the midnight CalTrain to get home...
I sorta miss those years, but wokeness, nimbyism, and intrusive taxation ruined it for me. I might have stayed if I had a yacht and could just sail away when I felt like it.
YIKES, Musk has been an ‘owner’ for less than 5 days... let’s give him a little time before we declare him a disappointment...
Or try condemning the progressives who have been running the place badly FOR YEARS.
Right but ultimately it means nothing. Musk can make all the demands that he wants and threaten to sell his shares, but I don’t see them budging on things like reinstating Trump, etc. If he dumped his 9%, the stock would take a hit for some days and then it would be like it was before he owned his 9% stake. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am.
“He’s a globalist/elitist like the rest of them. Keep dreaming that he’s not.”
Long ago on this forum I said that having a beer with Musk was on my bucket list, some here said I should consider a joint.
In any case I do not think he is quite what you think he is, probably not what I think either.
Someday after beer or something I will know more
He’s a very likeable guy. Brilliant, genius - the whole nine yards.
I just don’t think he’s unlike the rest of his world conquering buddies.
